After J.J. Abrams was hired to direct Episode 7 many questions were answered and the only unknown was could he really manage to get all things right for a 2015 release. Looks like now we've got the next piece of the puzzle...
Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm announced today at CinemaCon in Las Vegas that Star Wars: Episode VII will hit theaters in the summer of 2015 and that every summer after that will offer a "Star Wars" film, alternating with one of the standalone films.
This plan is really ambitious. For the last 36 years we've seen 6 Star Wars movies. Now in the next 7 years we'll see another 6! Cool, right?
