The Breaking Bad star was at the SAG awards and briefly talked about the recent rumors that he has been considered for a major role in the new Star Wars movie...
From HitFix:
"No," answered the "Breaking Bad" star when I asked if there was any truth to those recent reports that he's being eyed for a role in J.J. Abrams' "Episode VII." "Yeah, I think it's just one of those crazy rumors."
So is he on the level? Who can say? One thing's for sure: he wasn't at the SAG Awards to talk about "Star Wars" but about his role as sociopathic kid-killer Todd in "Breaking Bad," which took home the award for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series at the big show.
Well the denial in Hollywood these days is something normal and really this doesn't mean anything. Still it's good to hear his opinion.
And speaking about the Episode 7 cast here's another tease from Latino Review about a possible contender for a role in the movie:
We did come across a hot new STAR WARS rumor!

HINT: A nominee currently on the awards circuit (including tonight) is up for a major role in STAR WARS EPISODE VII. Who can it be? RT :)

The full list of nominees from the SAG awards is this (without the winners):
Chiwetel Ejiofor
Bruce Dern
Tom Hanks
Forest Whitaker
Sandra Bullock
Meryl Streep
Emma Thompson
Judi Dench
Barkhad Abdi
Daniel Brühl
Michael Fassbender
James Gandolfini
Julia Roberts
Jennifer Lawrence
June Squibb
Oprah Winfrey
He said new rumor so we could remove the names of Chiwetel Ejiofor and Michael Fassbender which were mentioned before. So who could it be?
By the way there was a rumor on the web that Judi Dench is playing a character in her next movie which name again starts with "M". Some people immediately speculated that it could be Mon Mothma. I highly doubt it cause she is considered to have "passed away peacefully on Chandrila 24 ABY" but still there you have it.
And Jennifer Lawrence was very often mentioned by the fans. And as she said, she wouldn't mind playing Han Solo. :)
Judi Dench would be really good, but why not Caroline Blakiston back as Mon Mothma?
ReplyDeleteMy money's on Oprah! ;)
Yep, Caroline Blakiston is in pretty good shape.
DeleteTom Hanks as an old Jar Jar Binx
ReplyDeleteHehehe
very sad that tilda swinton isn't on the list she would be a very good villan. Maybe and imperial commander or a femal sith.
I don't think that Plemon's answer are final. I suppose nobody will answer 'Yeah, guys, I'm flying tomorrow to JJ's office to take the role in Episode 7'. It will be stupid then.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, thanks to Viral Hide for this website! This is so nice platform to improve english skills :D
ReplyDeleteDoesn't the Plemons denial prove that Mayimbe/LR is full of it? Will just have to wait and see. At this point it's just rumours on top of rumours.
ReplyDelete"I am going to break my non-disclosure agreement just to satisfy you!" "You hit-desperate reporters are a thousand times more important to me than my livelihood!"
ReplyDeleteNot a lot of young people at those awards. I would like J Lawrence to be in it, but isn't their policy to get people with low fame so they don't have to pay them and arm and a leg?
Since they supposedly start filming in the spring... surely we'd get a casting announcement before then right?
ReplyDeleteusually there is at least one well known amongst the newbies...and i have to admit that tilda swinton would be great as a female sith or other major villian.-prymal
ReplyDeleteYes that would be great.
DeleteI know it won't happen but it could be realy nasty for Luke if Tilda Swinton was casted as a very old Asajj Ventress. A enemy that have crossed blads with Anikan Skywalker. That would be so cool. And she could realy tell Luke some "stuff"about his father.

This whole Star Wars VII picture is just as murkey today as it was two years ago. Disney should really treat their fans better.
ReplyDeleteI'm killing for news, but to be fair they don't even owe us anything. Just the film, which is 2 years away. There's no reason for Disney to get people pumped this early on. (although I admit hardcore fans like myself would love to see news)
DeleteYou NEED to know something about a movie two years away that doesn't have any footage shot for it? I remember back in the day, where the poster and maybe a short tv commercial/ theater preview was it, before seeing any film.
DeleteJennifer Lawrence as Han Solo? No. Any girl as Han Solo. No. Just no.
ReplyDeleteSounds like someone knew she was auditioning and was asked to come up with that story as a smokescreen. Or, it was just a humor article making fun of all of the rumor gossip.
Deleteshe was making a joke of course, when asked if she would consider a role in ep.7 if asked she joked and said "of course, I always wanted to be Han Solo
DeleteYeah, it was a joke.
DeleteNo, what happened was an article saying she should be Han Solo. That article was a joke. Just like my comment was making fun of the reading too much into stuff. And then she was asked about the article.
DeleteThe actress who played Mon Mothma, Caroline Blakiston ,is still alive and well, and working regularly.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.imdb.com/name/nm0086860/
There's no reason to replace the actress for this character.
Emma Thompson, anyone?
ReplyDeleteThe Judi Dench rumor is now all over the web. I wonder if it was a coincidence that they made the same connection between LR's tweet and the Judi Dench rumor that I posted above... :)
ReplyDeleteWhy would Ben Kenobi, Jinn, Sidious, Yoda, Old Anakin and maybe Plagueis not be able to be in the movie. They mastered the afterlife. They should pop in. I think Sidious is a goner so maybe not him. But Obi Wan is must. Cg the two Kenobi's into one and Ewan would do his best old Obe. Old Anakin would truly be the topper. Hearing old Anakins voice. Dynomite. The the Jinn was the first to master it. Liam tie your hair back bro. Maybe now we will see him in true ghost form not alluded too or in cartoon.
