UPDATE! First Episode 7 Casting Rumor - Fringe Star John Noble?

This rumor comes from an Australian radio show host so take it with a huge grain of salt. Read more after the jump.

According to the host:
"she has it on very good authority that Aussie actor John Noble will be appearing as the villain"
Later the host clarified that this will be in Episode VII not a standalone movie. Also the host made it clear that she is very adamant about this story.
John Noble is mostly known for his memorable role in the TV show Fringe which is created by J.J. Abrams. Looks like Noble and Abrams are more than just colleagues especially after Noble attended the official Star Trek premiere although he was not part of the movie. So there's your Star Wars connection.

If this rumor is true then it would be another great move by Disney and Kathleen Kennedy. Noble is a great actor and everyone is really liking the idea of him playing the villain. Personally I would love to see Noble playing the villain. He did great job as the villain Denethor in Lord of the Rings so hope this rumor is true.

Unfortunately moviehole debunked the rumor:
Yesterday a rumour hit the w’s that “Fringe” star John Noble was circling an unspecified ‘villain’ role in the new “Star Wars” movie that J.J Abrams is currently sweating on. According to the report, the source was FOX FM’s brilliant brekky duo Matt & Jo, with Jo reportedly the one with the big scoop.
I can confirm to you that this is as false as whatever hides under Pammy Anderson’s togs. This was not discussed on Fox FM, and neither Matt or Jo know anything about it. It was, in other words, simply the creation of a bored fanboy who masterfully tricked a few into running it.
