George Lucas' Son Talks Star Wars: Episode 7.

jett lucas

For now Jett Lucas is not directly involved with the new movies but in a recent interview he revealed that he knows a great deal of things about them. Read after the jump to find out what he said about J.J. Abrams, some of the casting rumors and why the new movies will be about a new generation...

Looks like Jett is really happy on what's going to happen with the new movies.

Some of the more interesting stuff:
- If Jett Lucas is asked he will be involved only from a production point of view.
- Disney will use George Lucas' guidelines.
- Lucas is constantly talking with J.J. Abrams.
- It's very unlikely that actors/actresses from Star Trek would appear in Star Wars
- They are not going main stream with the casting. They're going for new faces.
- The new movies will be for a whole new generation with a new group of heroes and villains.
- I'm not sure if he was serious about Solo's son, but still who knows...

Not much but some pretty interesting stuff. Actually this is the first solid thing that we hear from someone close to the production...

  2. The one that really surprised me was that "Lucas is constantly talking to J J Abrams"... Because J J Abrams stated the opposite.

  3. He danced around the Star Trek question as if she was asking if Khan was going to be in the movie. Of course Khan won't but Benedict Cumberbatch might be though.

  4. Couldn't have asked for more in that interview. He didn't say too much but he said enough in my opinion. A lot of good keywords on fan questions such as; George's "guidelines", "new generation/new faces". He's obviously a true fan of the series "Who doesn't wanna see Han cruise by in the Falcon again?!" Haha. What I don't understand is, why all the hate? Fans crucified Lucas on the Prequels! I mean they hated it! I didn't think they were that bad? Sure Hayden and Portman could've had a bit more chemistry. Yeah JarJar was kinda annoying. Its not really that much to hate on one of the greatest stories ever created. They'll never take the Originals place so just pick your favorites and move on. I think that's what blows my mind is, Why hate on the guy who made this world?! Heck I don't blame Lucas for getting out when every fan trashed on his creation. Not true fans in my opinion. Don't like it, then get out! Either way I'm excited to see what happens. Lucas wouldn't put this treasure in Abrams' hands if he didn't believe he could help it grow. Maybe we'll see a Prequel of the Prequels. Maybe It'll be with Jacen, Jaina, Ben and Anakin(I hope) or heck it maybe about Cade Skywalker. Who cares? Its STAR WARS! As I fan I wanna it to live on. Its a great story and that much is clear. Looking forward to 2015.

ps. What was with the Star Trek Questions? C'mon News reporter..

  5. He seems pretty certain that no Star Trek actors will appear in Star Wars. Could all the Cumberpatch rumours be deliberate mis-information from Abrams? Very likely.
