Full 6 Minute Star Wars: 1313 Demo from E3 2012.

video game

Check out this demo for the cancelled video game Star Wars: 1313 which was meant to be about the bounty hunter Boba Fett. Only parts of this demo were shown before so enjoy...

Let's hope that this game finds a new life under a different developer.

  1. Does this suggest that this game is back in production? It'd be stupid for them to trash this idea. Any self-respecting Star Wars fan would go head over heels for this game.

  2. I'd like to think this is what Visceral is working on. Since both Dice and them immediately began work on Star Wars projects. However what worries me is this would have been an easy sell since a lot of people were already excited for this. So the fact they are keeping secret about their project bodes poorly.

    1. Is the hero a Jedi or something (had to mute since I'm at the office)? I don't even know if a Jedi could pull off those moves. You'd probably need Spider-Man ... on a good day.

    2. The game was originally based from the perspective of a young Boba Fett, following his father's footsteps into the dangerous business of bounty hunting on his own.

  3. The most important thing about this video. 'Bitching' it seems was planned to become offical Star Wars lingo.

Amazing demo btw... EA. Make. This. Game.

  4. this game would be about Boba Fett and has been cancelled. the spin-offs movie projects could be about Boba so,... maybe thats why this game was abondoned. you know, change of plans. in a certain point of view its make sense, i think

  5. Okay, I'll say it.

That demo had me at least as excited about this non-existent vid game as any of the prequel trailers ever had me about their respective movies.

I really would have liked to have seen how that story played out, even if it wasn't the actual video game story. (Though maybe a little too much Jedi-like superheroism, IMHO, what with all the leaping and the plummeting and the surviving nearby explosions with nary a hair out of place huh-HEYglavin!)

But man, that just looked like a fantastic setting, and best of all... two ordinary guys. No Force tricks, no lightsabers, just a couple blokes with blasters an cajones the size of bulk freighters. Now THAT'S a version of Star Wars I've not seen for a long time... a long time.

    1. Totally agree... I think sometimes people forget how little the force actually appeared on screen in the originals. The movie followed a lot of average human beings in situations way beyond them. To much force can hurt Star Wars. There's just as many fans of Han Solo and Boba Fett as there are Jedi fans. I'm all for the common man's perspective in Star Wars.

I don't know guys, this might seem blasphemous, but this just doesn't feel like Star Wars to me. It feels just like another sci fi/action video game. The tone isn't Star Wars. I think alotta Star Wars games do this.

    1. totally agree. seems like a good sci-fi game but not star wars except for the coruscant looking planet.

    2. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed. Boba Fett should not be able to do the stuff in that trailer. He's a bounty hunter, not a superhero. Seems like this was lifted from something else and called Star Wars.

    3. I agree. This did not feel like Star Wars at all. It's way too serious and attempts to be dark and gritty. Sure it's on Coruscant and some of the bells and whistles are there, but I fail to see the hype for a game that's Star Wars in name only.

  7. Why the game was pulled I believe was storylines clashing. For one it was being worked on as the Lucas Disney deal was being made. Prior To the deal Lucas stated he was working on a star wars live action show and hinted at Daniel Logan could be reprising his role as a young Boba. Then the show was cancelled, Lucas said there was a hundred plus episodes in the works, but could not make the show economically feasible.
So this game 1313 gets a trailer and rumors touting that the development of the game and its gaming engine was revolutionary......So why no game?
Because The Disney deal was becoming a reality and Star Wars with new episodes and its spinoffs were born. I believe that this was a major factor not just the game licensing deal. It had to be scrapped so that fresh Ideas would not clash.
Will we see this game ever?
Not the way it was initially intended. They said a young Boba Fett, in the 1313 game whatever the story he had in it at the time would have definitely clashed with what Lawrence Kasdin is writing now. Also the young character in the 1313 game does not fit well with movie canon, I believe that Boba and Jango were more of a NEW ZEALANDER than an Irish lad. So who is the young character? I do not see him anything resembling a fett.
