The Q&A session with the shareholders is happening right now and here are some brief updates from Variety's Marc Graser...

Nothing special but still take a look:

At least the movie is still scheduled for 2015. :)

    2. I probably wouldn't have even bought star wars 1313 if I'm honest. Excited for battlefront 3 though

    3. Unfortunately all assets and projects that the Lucasarts studio had have been scrapped. I kinda hoped Disney would keep that particular game, but after a year I can all but guarantee that 1313 will never see shelves. :(

    4. They let the 1313 trademark lapse. So, it is never coming out. The way the games work, is Disney makes casual games, while all of the hardcore games are outsourced to EA (Dice is making a shooter, Bioware is making an RPG).

    5. 1313 will never see the light of day. But I wouldn't be surprised if the concept morphed into something else.

      Like a spinoff movie perhaps?

    7. I'm preordering BF3. 1313 Needs to get picked up by Bungie or someone. A mature adult GTA-esque star wars game would sell like mad.

    9. SWG is back. Kinda. Some really awesome people have 2 pre-combat overhaul servers you can play on. Just look up SWGEMU

  2. At least the December date hasn't been pushed back. That's good. And he didn't mention the spin-off movies or VIII being pushed back either, so that's good too, i guess.

  3. As I suspected, 0 news came from this report. It is for investors, so that makes sense.

  4. Well, there is something, found by Jedinews on page 78 of:
    http://thewaltdisneycompany.com/sites/default/files/reports/10k-wrap-2013.pdf

"Intangible assets primarily consist of intellectual property based on the Star Wars franchise with an estimated useful life of approximately 40 years. The goodwill reflects the value to Disney from leveraging Lucasfilm intellectual property across our distribution channels, taking advantage of Disney’s established global reach."

There is no way they are just talking about movies, so there will be AN expanded universe, even if it's a different one.

    1. The expanded universe consists of any Star Wars related material outside of the core episodes. That means books, comics, video games, TV series, future spinoffs and so on. They won't be creating a "different" expanded universe, but rather adding to the current one; making it an even more expanded universe.

    2. That is incorrect. They are taking out some significant portion of the EU. It's not just adding to it in that case. They are cutting things that wouldn't be cut if not for the buyout and/or decision to make new films. IF they were only adding to the EU, why did they freeze production of books taking place past ROTJ?

  5. I listened to the entire call and I as surprised at how enthusiastic iger was about animation in this year's 1st quarter and the 4th quarter of last year. He's really excited about what's to come. Not much mentioned as far as EpVII or Rebels goes, but starting this summer, we'll be seeing a lot coming from Disney in the way of Star Wars.
