  1. Looking much slimmer, still needs to lose a little weight (you can tell in the other pics), but much closer to filming shape.

    2. ok fans... lets all star calm... first, there is always going to be smoking mirrors, rumors, changes to the set, characters, etc.... they love to keep fans going mad crazy.... now as for quality on the movies.... first, the reason why the originals was better than the prequels is because Lucas wanted each chapter to be better than the next.... when he was filming the very first ( episode 4 -release 1977) , he never thought he would make any more so he combined multiple chapters... when the movie was a giant success, he decided to combine the last of his chapters in part 5 and 6... remember, Lucas said that the story ends with luke saving his dad.... now, with the combination of Lucas ideas for a 3rd trilogy, and the famous Thrawn Trilogy by Zahn etc, Lucas went back to make the prequels. The plan was to make it not better than the originals because he wanted each trilogy to be better... he succeded and many fans was bored with the script, etc... which is why someone should have helped him write and direct.... now, after the much hate from fans over the prequels, Lucas decided to forget making a 3rd trilogy and eventually sold it to a group who wanted and had the passion and love to continue the saga.... also Lucas was drained from all of it anyway... mine as well make a big buck and have fun while he still can.... now, today, a new family of movie makers that are very expensive to get, and has the heart to make this, will make the last trilogy... with all the power players in this from producers, writrs, and directer, this movie will not fail... they know tradition that original fans want, they know what the prequel generation wants, and what new surprises they will have for all of us.... but right now, they will be playing smoking mirrors with everyone until something major really leaks, or they decide to tell us all... which would ruin the other surprises... but my point iz, stay calm.... we got until dec 2016 to have lots of time to yak.... and yes, Leia is in part 7 for the doubters... the producers are not stupid.. they are Star wars fans just like us and thats why they making this... they know what we fans want.....and im sure when it plays all out, it will be a combination of everything we want ,and new things that will surprise us and bring back the old feeling of what Star Wars truly is... the greatest film ever...

    3. AnonymousMarch 1, 2014 at 2:06 AM: GOOD POINT! :) especially when you point out that the people doing this film is also Star Wars fans, so of course they also want the original actors to come back, they would probably be as heartbroken as us if one of them would say: no (wich they probably won´t) & they will of course also want to see the Falcon in action again etc. ... I have no doubt that the movies will not be good, they will be great, it is even possible that they will be the best in the series (& hopefully unite the PT & OT fans) everyone wants to be involved in this movie & it will be a creative collaboration on a scale we have not seen yet in the SW franschise with the most talanted people available, who also wants to bring back the magic of the films that they grew up with

    4. Fuck me. I'm sick of hearing about Carrie's 'so called' weight issue. She's in her late 50's for fuck's sake. She looks great. I'd love to see how most of you fat, cunt deprived internet warrior nerds look when you get her age.

  2. Nice move Viral, something to take our minds off the bitter disappointmentwe all just experienced.

  3. She still looks the same size to me, not that it really matters. Love Carrie. I want her in the film even if it's just for the bloopers and the press interviews, she's so funny.

    ReplyDelete
  4. They could've gone the other way and asked her to gain a lot of weight. She could have been infected by Jabba with a weird, Hutt STD that causes one to eat raw amphibians constantly. Maybe give her a slave girl in a metal bikini and bring back Salacious Crumb. Seriously though, I'm glad she's looking fit and I hope she behaves herself so she can bring Leia back in all of her glory.

  5. Looking hot rocking the the eye ball scarf Leia! Eat it sh*tty people who were on her for mental illness and weight gain, step into the real world and out of your fantasy world / asshole land.

    2. Please learn to apply logic in your argument before you sprout it jedi brasil. Especially when it's mostly illiterate rubbish. There is no reason that this film has to be limited in anyway to being 10 years after Jedi, you just made that up.

    3. I'm confused by this. but google says "acontercer" means "happen" in portugese. interesting.

  6. Come-on guys, it's too late.
She has to be replaced if they will bring back Princess Leia...I'm sorry to say that, but it's inevitable.
They must find a replacement. Anyway I trust J.J., he is very good at finding the right actors with similarities... (see Kirk's father in the StarTrek ;)

    1. What's that sound? Is that an idiot I hear? Oh yes I believe it is. Some people are so unbelievable it physically hurts my brain to think about.. There's only one person to play princess leia, and that's the person who played princess leia.. Yes, I understand it's a difficult concept to grasp, but somebody at 19, is not always going to look the same at 57. Shocker I know. I'll let it sink in..

    4. Don't be so stupid. I don't mean it literally you doofus. I'm saying if there's 7 billion people on the planet and you need to find somebody to play a character that's been in 3 films and played by the same actress, it's pretty logical to pick the same actress the fourth time round..

    5. 1. You insult your mother before a starwars old fan
      2. There is no logic in your thinking...
      3. Maybe also it will depend on the script?

      Delete
    6. Uh, why would she have to be replaced? Not really getting your logic. As long as she is feeling healthy she will do fine; it is not like she hasn't been working as of late. what the hell does "too late" mean anyway? Too late for who?

      Delete
    7. Exactly. She's 57, not 97. I don't understand how people can be so stupid.

  7. To be honest I'd rather have her looking pudgy than slim. She's only 5"1 and with all the medication she's on for her bipolar it's near sight impossible to loose weight. With the recent drug rumours I'd much rather her mind is in a good place than what her waistline is like for god sake, which doesn't even matter to anyone outside the shallow idiots who in some way think they are actually being really clever or in some way funny by referenceing Jabba the hutt.

    1. I am neither shallow or an idiot and I'd put my reading comprehension up against yours any day of the week. Re-read my post and notice that I was lampooning the fact that everyone is screaming that she needs to lose weight. I was not comparing her in her current condition or any of her previous conditions to being similar to a Hutt but that she could have been encouraged to gain weight to that point. Sure, my joke wasn't very good but it wasn't at her expense but was pointed more at studios and fans who are so obsessed with an actor's weight. In closing my post I expressed my desire for her physical and mental health to remain well so she can reprise her role. So, please...kiss my ass.

  10. A middle finger to the people who are going to moan about her looks. I love what she said about how she didn't realise that wearing a golden bikini was actually signing an invisible contract that meant she had to look that way for the rest of her life. Lol damn right, she is in no way entitled to look a certain way for moronic internet loosers who actually care for some weird reason.. Seriously there's not even an issue, she's pretty hot for 57, just sayin', she doesn't look like Jocelyn Wildenstein for heaven's sake.

  11. better to have used the story of Arndt, 3 it would not be the protagonist. See no need to read more appears more like Jaina and Jacen's mother. Luke yes should have greater prominence as a master jedi. But they said right here on this site that Abrans wanted the three had more prominence, so do not go trading by new actors.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Only Mark should need to loose weight. He's a jedi so his build kind of matters. Carrie can look any way she wants to. You don't need to look slim to shout "why you stuck up half witted scruffy looking nerfherder". It would be even better if she was a bit larger to be honest. People clinging onto the hope of the cast and characters being the exact same way as in 1977 just make me laugh.

    ReplyDelete
  13. It's just the huge tits that get in the way but I guess they will just tape them back like they did in the original trilogy.
And she just needs to lose a bit more around the belly, otherwise looking fantastic!

  17. SW has the classiest cheeto encrusted, grudge holding, EU correcting, basement dwelling, "if they do X they will lose me as a fan" bunch of fan boys fantasizing to a woman enslaved by a slug that they witnessed 30 years ago. Maybe that's why its fan-boy and not fan-person.

Of course there's every kind of star wars fan though.

Buck up, Lowhumming...lots of SW fans are just glad to enjoy the ride and looking forward to seeing what JJ has in store. I'm one of those and I'm excited that both of my sons will be old enough to go see EVII with me when it comes out just like I did with my dad in 1977 (even though I was only 4).

    3. Sorry about that. No, I'm really pumped about all this. just think its silly how concerned we seem to be about her weight, and the pressures some of us seem to put on beauty standards(even the pressures we put on the next SW), I meant it to be a bit funny, and to say hold on here.

Sorry, the majority of people on here are pretty awesome and I love it here.

  18. Speaking of Carrie, a little something from yesterday- http://imeanwhat.com/breaking-newzzz/the-artful-lodger/
It's written a bit weirdly so I can't really work out if it confirms she's back or not, but it does indeed mention she is "working out more and eating well".. if that's any comfort to people who actually care about the size of her stomach for whatever reason.

    ReplyDelete
  19. For cryin' out loud, people... she looks fine! Whatever part may be written for Leia in the new movie, it's not for a scantily-clad, 20-something wank-fantasy gal. It's for an older woman who has probably been a galactic political leader for 30 years or so. Who cares if she's a bit heavier than she once was? That's just how life goes.

I hope she's in the movie, and if she is she'll look perfect for the role of a 50-60 year old Leia Organa. The idea that she would be replaced in the role for failing some sort of pre-production weigh-in is absolutely ludicrous.

    1. Thank you. Cannot agree more. The fact people can't grasp this simple idea is absolutely worrying to what people are going to say about the film.

  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4bv9ZTSnLE.
This was in 2007. It proves that if they give her the right haircuit, make-up, outfit, and if she looses the glasses, she'll look exactly like an elderly Leia, only a bit more plump. No problem here folks, so stop whining about her looks. She still looks amazing and would rock ep7.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'll leave the comments about people's weight to TMZ.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yes, looking much slimmer as they get closer to getting down to business! All that sudden weight loss is pretty good proof she will be in EP7, I bet Mark is starting to look pretty slim by now too. And still a few weeks until filming starts.

    ReplyDelete
  23. use your brains and think, people. Carrie is going to return as a much older leia in this movie. k? lol k. just wait and watch

    ReplyDelete
  24. Definitely looking better. The scarf, handbag, and black dress are hiding some of the extra baggage but thank god she's no longer in a position to have to try out for a role as one of the Hutts. I suppose it would even be acceptable for the older Leia to be a little pudgy especially when you consider the way all the fat people keep defending her fatness. Hopefully Mark Hamill is doing the same except in his case he will need to lose all of his fat in order to be a Jedi. Otherwise, "..not yet, one thing remains..." fat, you must confront fat, then only then, a Jedi will you be!

    ReplyDelete
  25. They probably won't be filming her belly in the movie anyway. I guess the camera will shoot mostly above waist or the costume she wears will hide anything, maybe they will squeeze her into a corset and use a body double for rear shots.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah, that's a good idea. And, if her boobs are still decent, the corset could really work. Definitely a body double for the rear though, but hey, if she manages to drop all of the fat before filming, then they can show the real Leia backside.

They should put a clause in her contract as incentive. Like, an extra million dollars or something like that. Kind of like dangling a doughnut in front of a fat hungry person.

  27. I'm commenting this from some public place because I don't want to get caught by any chance, but I got some information for you. I've been working on new Star Wars 7 movie (If working means, being around at Lucasarts) so I know some information. Now please, be aware that things are changing a lot (like the script change or castings that they changed 2 weeks back)
First thing is, The Big 4 is returning (Luke, Han, Leia and Lando), but we won't see much Lando in Episode VII (there is a possibility that his role will be bigger in Episode VIII) second thing is that Han and Leia will have daughter and son, and Lando will have daughter too. Luke won't have family so far, and I don't know whether he will have one. Also, they will revisit 2 planets from previous movies.. it will be Tatooine and Sith homeworld (before you ask, yes.. there will be small connection between the Clone Wars episode with Yoda and Episode VII)
and last but not least, there are 2 final titles considered, (believe me or not, there were around 90 titles last week, and 200 in January) which are "Republic In Chaos" and "The Dark Path".. there should be official statements soon. Now again, this is what I gathered for the past week. I know how hard it is for all of you. This is all I know, thanks

Also, if you're going to pretend to be an insider, say you work at Disney or an ILM branch office or something. Put a little effort into your lies at least.

And also, those Episdoe 7 titles you came up with were pretty lame, not very creative are you?

  29. really looking great! perfect for the role, always will be a babe, and the fact that shes gone through so much with mental illness, substance abuse, is just one more reason we should all be supporting her and not judging based on tabloid BS and pics of her at her "low points".

    ReplyDelete
  30. I would imagine the writers and JJA would have looked at how the OT stars are ageing before committing them into the story. No point asking them to try and achieve the impossible and also their parts will reflect the age of their characters which is why Luke needs to be purely a grand mentor and Leia needs to be a statesperson as that is where their story arcs were moving towards.
This will all be about the next generation of 20 somethings as it should be

    ReplyDelete
  31. Ok-food for thought. What kind of shape was Sir Alec Guinness in when he was in the star wars films ? Another point to think about- off screen yes, Carrie Fischer IS very opinionated, but on screen she says her lines exactly as directed . Does everyone believe that she is going to take direction of the film/films away from JJ, the writers , the other actors , George, and Disney....no.
