  1. right as filming is starting for the new movie? interesting. so then if the actors aren't confirmed by then, we'll definitely know if mark is in it when he goes to this.

      Text in side bar:
"Star Wars Custom Han Solo Episode VII

Custom Han Solo episode seven. I'm taking a little brake from the side by side series I will start it back up next week at some point. The recipe for this one is Vc Endor Han body, Indy KOCS head with five o clock shadow removed. And the vest is Indy's jacket painted black."

    4. Han's clothes will have to be different in Ep 7 - no way, as an old man, he's still wearing the same clothes. He had numerous looks in the space of 3 films within a 4-year timeframe.

    5. I feel like that outfit will get some form of cameo

    6. WTF?!?! That's crazy! On one hand its cool because it confirms the obvious but, on the other hand, why the fuck is Han still wearing the same damn clothes?!
You mean Leia hasn't bought him anything new to wear in over 30 years?!

    7. wait, hey Anonymous 3/21@8:30pm, are you saying you made that action figure yourself?

If yes, then there's nothing to get apeshit about, it isn't official. Good way to fuck with people though, congrats!

    9. John Caliber are you saying you haven't noticed the older people get the more desperate they are to relive their youth. I think what he is wearing is spot on for a guy H.S. age.

  3. dang i just posted this on another thread... but to add if this doesn't say he's in then nothing does... you can't tell me he's going to come to disney and do all that jazz just to be excluded from the film... he's in no doubt.

  4. Shooting schedules are easily arranged for this kind of thing. Paul Walker was in the middle of shooting when he died at after a charity event on the other side of the country.

    1. exactly and what better of a place to make an announcement than star wars weekends... anyone else thinking if they keep the lid on this for a month after filming starts then blow the lid when he hits star wars weekends??? perfect timing if you ask me...

      Delete
    2. Exactly...... and soon they may announce that Fisher, Ford, and Daniels will be attending as well... then announce their return..... along with rest of the cast....:-)

      Delete
    3. That would be awesome. But once shooting starts in May, it will be impossible to keep their involvement a secret. They will be spotted in London. Disney will announce it within the next month and a half

  5. I think this is a hint that he will be in EPVII, but don't get your hopes up yet, this may just be an alternative deal because Lucas promised him in, and Disney said no.

  6. Well, that's pretty cool.

I live in Tampa, so I'll try to be there very weekend.

I remember when I was in fourth(?) grade when Clone Wars came out I got to see a twenty minute clip of the movie MONTHS before the movie came out.

Always fun. Can't wait to see him.

    1. I read that and though "Wow you're pretty young" before promptly remembering that was 6 years ago and I'm not much older.. I don't really remember there being any "hype" for that movie though, I didn't see it until a good 3 years later as part of annual masochism... 'Huttlet' *sigh*

    2. I was ten. Anything Star Wars related when you're ten years old was cool.

    1. Orlando. At Walt Disney World.

    2. It's in Orlando at Disney. Most likely Hollywood studios.

Tampa's only 45 minutes-an hour away, so trust me when I say I've seen my fair share of Disney.

I'll try and get in to see mark for you guys!

    3. cool, let us know if it works out!

  8. I know Bob Iger said May shoot and JJ said that, too. But this is starting to look like a July shoot. Iger said "it's very, very early." Remember that Alan Horn announced Summer 2015 for Ep 7, but it got moved later. May shoot is idealistic, but JJ did cast Chris Pine in Trek only like 5 weeks before Trek was shot.

    1. How is it starting to look like a July shoot? When Lucasfilm, Disney, and JJ have all said it's May.There is absolutely nothing that could signal it will be in July haha

      Delete
    2. If you are right, I will gladly eat my words. Suffice it to say, I will be surprised if cameras are rolling in May.

You at least need a month to choreograph the fight scenes. JJ creates on the fly, so yeah, he could make a May shoot happen. But the film does not open til December 18, 2015, so no need to shoot in May. You don't need 15 months for post production. You need 12 months maximum.

      Delete
    3. I know you need at least a month for prepping. It's March.

  9. Well we know that most of the principal roles have been cast, it's the remaining leads that need to be. In other words this is not unusual, and in fact common. The May date will be met.

Anyway, yo Viral, was the old Mara Jade rumor about her being in Rebels and thus in the movie by the same people who were wrong about the recent major rumors? I hope not. I was actually looking forward to possibly seeing her transition.

  10. I mean, this is coming down to the wire if they shoot in May. Three new leads and not one official announcement. Not a single name officially cast in this film. Hard to believe this will roll cameras in 6 or 7 weeks. How can you do a costume fitting for an actor that has not been cast?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yes, I'm sensing some rushing here- shooting in 6 weeks but the 3 leads are not cast yet? Mark and Carrie still have some way to go fitness wise too(I do NOT want to see fat Luke & Leia- they would have been fit, disciplined old Jedi, certainly Luke would have been). Maybe it is only landscape filming in May, the real acting won't start until June? Nice to see Mark doing more SW events, always good with the fans.

    2. Mark and Carrie are not fat at all. The used to be, but not anymore. They just look like normal people.. Alec Guiness was hardly buff as old-ben.

      Delete
    3. Mark and Carrie are in normal shape for people their age. No problem there.

      Delete
    4. Despite the desire for an announcement, they are not under an obligation to do one. Also without seeing the script sometimes seemingly major characters can be shot in a few days time. This is true if most of their scenes are in just a couple of locations. Costumes should have a generic design to them and can be fitted fairly quickly. Its obviously harder if they wear more costumes, but again we don't know what the script looks like.

    5. True... I just feel like JJ handed in the first draft in January and now, who knows where he is at with it?

It does seem like the Big 3 will end up in supporting roles, though. Hard to picture Harrison acting in Episode 9 at the age of 77!

      Delete
  11. Very true. They probably announce Mark and the Big 3 at the June weekend event and then shoot a month or so later. Just my hypothesis.

  12. I think will the standard and quality of acting H.F and been delivering in his movies and the influence H.S. has on scrips. It would be best if there was a scene or a flash back to H.S. death because the mumbling disinterest that H.F. has been passing of as acting for the past 10 or more years is realy going to suck the life out of SW7. And his idea that H.S. died in Empire will become the biggest missed opertunity in the S.W saga

  13. I wonder if the young trio will be Luke, Han and Leia-ish, fine line there..
Star Wars is bizzaro world for Ford, obviously he is a much bigger actor than the other two, yet it is locked into a timeframe when no-one knew for sure he would become the most successful actor yet. Luke/Hamill sort of comes before him in SW, which would be strange pie for Harrison at this point in time.

  14. If you watch behind the scenes footage from A New Hope, Ford was clearly having a great time making it. I agree with you that his voice is almost inaudible in his later years.

His line readings have been flat for a while, but hopefully JJ can get him to speak up. Mark Hamill still has his voice, as proven by his work as the Joker.

    1. I watched Harrison in Enders Game recently. His performance was very.. odd. But I think he's still alright to play Han as long as Han has a load of one liners and is still the same kind of personality. Harrison really falls apart in small personal moments, but Han was never that kind of guy. Han was just a funny wise-ass.
      Which judging by- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T0vs9gYydo
he should be ok I guess.

  15. As long as Harrison doesn't underplay every moment, he will be ok. A lot of actors are underplaying in this generation, but some of the best acting moments are totally over the top.

I really like when Palpatine transformed into the Emperor in ROTS. Ian McDiarmid played that way over the top and it was an awesome scene.

    1. Well, Ian McDiarmid was the only character to ever raise a smile and show any kind of goal and passion to his character. Ian was so damn good.
