Rumor: Oscar Winner Lupita Nyong'o Has Met With J.J. Abrams for a Star Wars: Episode 7 Role.

Sources close to THR say that Oscar winner of best supporting actress in 12 Years a Slave Lupita Nyong'o met with J.J. Abrams only a few weeks ago. There are already few possibilities about the role they've been discussing...

From THR:
Nyong’o was born in Mexico, raised in Kenya, and graduated from Yale University School of Drama. She had a role in the MTV series Shuga but her feature debut was in 12 Years.

Now Nyong'o’s name has surfaced in connection to Star Wars. Because of the secrecy, it is unclear which role it could be. One possibility is that of a descendent of Obi-Wan Kenobi, which has been described as a non-Caucasian role. That is separate from the search for two roles, female and male, for characters in their twenties.

It is known that Abrams is still meeting with actors with several for his leads, which remain uncast. Several sources say that Jesse Plemons is one of the actors to beat for one of the roles and that British actors Ed Speleers and John Boyega are also in the mix.

Latino Review also added some details about the role. According to them the part Nyong’o has been reading for a is a major female role and doesn’t seem to be tied into the family lines from Episodes 4-6. Also they heard, Lupita might be going up for a a sith!

Lupita’s reps responded that “We’re not allowed to talk about that.”

Another proof that Abrams is indeed looking for a diversity in the cast.

  1. It might be an adopted descendant of obi-wan, possibly a Twi'lek Orphan who is strong in the force during his time in Ryloth. Some how she reminds me of Oola.
Or it could be Tahiri, raised by sand people. Maybe her mother met Obiwan during his time hiding in Tatooine.
Or it might just be Landos descendent?

    1. Could it be Vestera? Gasp! And her father Khai, an Obi-wan type/foil, is a Sith who will tell Vestera, "Luke Skywalker? He betrayed and murdered your father..." just enjoying myself looking at infinities...

    2. Of all the EU characters that could show up, Vestara??? Why does nobody think "New Character"?

    4. Why does some think the sith are gone for good ?.... if that was true, then why is the sith planet still out there ?... is the Jedi dead ? no... Luke was the only Jedi Knight left after the end of ROTJ ( part 6 ), but many still had the power of the force with them but just wasnt trained... thats what Luke does in the timeline between part 6 and 7.... same as the sith... Lucas has said in past about the last trilogy of trilogies would focus on the generation of the rebuilt Jedi and the republic fighting the last of the sith who once more will try to end the Jedi and rull... basically, history repeating itself but this time, led by the guidence of Luke and others, this generation , led by the chose one, will end the sith.... Yes, END THE SITH... not balance... the balance has gone back and forth for ages in star wars... one moment the Jedi is stronger.. and one moment the sith are.... it always balance back and forth.. the chosen one doesnt bring balance, the chosen one leads the others to end the sith once and for all.... Anakin was the false prophet they thought would do this... the Twins were the redemption.... the last Skywalker is the chosen one... and who created Anakin ? think hard... Darth Plagius the Wise pregnated a female in a village before his student killed him... so it miss led the Jedi thinking he was created by the medioclorians... Luke will not have kids and wife in the movies... however, han and leia will... and the power of the force is with Leia even though she never became a Jedi... follow the movies fans, not the EU books.... the mediclorians make Leia pregnate with either a son or daughter and becomes the chesen one.... not sure whos the one that trained the child rather its Luke, or mara jade, or whomever they decide.. but it should be fun... forget the books fans... just follow the story in the movies... remember when Darth Sidious told Anakin in part 3 how Darth Plagius the Wise created life ?... even though the script was somewhat boring in the prequels, it still tells the story if u follow it right..... first trilogy, the sith rules with the Emperor and Vader... the second trilogy is the new hope and redemption to balance it once again.. the last trilogy is about the end of the sith.....

    5. That was come clueless rambling!!! Pretty sure most of that has little to no basis in anything that's ever been written.

    6. .....Um.. What? What the hell does it matter that the Sith homeworld still exists? Planets don't spontaneously explode when something directly or indirectly related to them dies out. Also for saying 'forget the books' you sure did mention them a lot..

  2. Yay diversity! As Full of Sith podcast said, Latino Review has a decent track-record.

THR corroborates it, and then speculates on an old speculation that was thrown in at the end of an article. "Everyone must be Spinoff Babies!" is a dumb rule that I don't think they'll adhere to. Keep in mind, if it's moving to a new generation of characters, there MUST be a new generation of love interests too, at the very least.

    1. Diversity is good. As a chinese Singaporean fan since 1977 myself, I've always wondered and lamented why there were never ever any major supporting characters who are of the Chinese race in this galaxy far far away. I remember an a wing pilot in ROTJ, a couple extras as useless Jedi in AOTC, and a certain Bai Ling as a senator who part was cut.

  3. Interesting. I know there are pretty dead certain rumours that Adam Driver will be a/the sith, but I really don't want to be bombarded with males AGAIN. I'd love a female jedi and/or a female sith. Lupita would be great as a young and creepy sith. She's very skinny/lanky which looks great for villains, especially with the right costume, and also the fact she is lacking in the hair department which is also great for villain roles. She's very nimble for action, she has the look, and she's an academy award winning actress so there's not much doubt that she'll smash it out the park, especially with JJ's direction. One of JJ's biggest strengths is working with actors and getting good performances, even with horrible actors. So an academy award winning one is sure to be pretty good. I think Lupita would be great as a sith/antagonist, but I wouldn't want her as a protagonist role as I want the protagonists to be white. Obviously not racist or anything, but the star wars narrative follows the Skywalkers and Luke is white so any son/daughter can't be black. And Leia and Han are also white too so the sidekicks can't be black either. Unless the characters aren't the descendants of the original trio, which would just be stupid for the story and a wasted opportunity for any plot points and also give far less significance and importance for the returning trio, so I don't see that happening. But saying that, black actors John Boyega and Ray Fisher are supposedly up for the main lead so who knows what the heck JJ is up to. Usually he's good at casting. Chiwetel ejiofor, Michael fassbender, Benedict Cumberbatch, and now Lupita Nyong'o. I think JJ liked 12 years a slave.

    3. I'm with anon@2:43 PM. It's funny to see how everyone keeps talking about EU characters, but it's even funnier to see how nobody mentions any of the PT characters. This character (if real) could be related to Mace Windu, for all we know. Personally, I hope the EU stays just like that, as an "expanded" universe, and that none of it is used in the films.

    4. Why does a character have to be a descendant? The only descendants should be of the trio. Everything else should be original.

    5. Jedi of the era don't generally have kids... I don't get why everyone should somehow be blood related anyway. You don't see 'families' in Star Wars, it's not The Godfather or Game of Thrones.

      Delete
    6. "You don't see 'families' in Star Wars"
LOL have you not SEEN star wars?! Have you ever heard of the line- "No. I am your father!" Families is a huge part of the main characters of star wars. Vader was Luke's father. Leia and Luke are twins. To say you "don't see families in star wars" is ridiculous. The Skywalkers need to have kids to keep the skywalker narrative going. This isn't a difficult concept to understand.

    9. Calm down Anon March 15, 2014 @ 9:26pm and R3GARnator. Anon, I think what R3Garnator meant by "You don't see families in Star Wars" is that the Jedi are not aloud to fall in love, get married and start a family (you know it's such a shame that most Star Wars fans don't like/don't agree with the rule "Jedi's should not love" or "have emotional connections" or whatever . You know some people in life DON'T get married and DON'T have kids. And George Lucas was going through a divorce at that time.).
R3GARnator wasn't talking about the whole Anikan/Vader/Luke/Leia/I am your father stuff. That's really the only "family" besides the Jedi's familes and what I mean by "the Jedi's family" is that Obi Wan obviously had a mother and a father so he has a family. Anikan had a father and a mother, Yoda had a father and a mother, etc. That's what I mean by that.

God Bless and No Rude Replies Please.

    10. The jedi order where you can't love was old and disbanded. All the jedi became extinct, apart for yoda and obi-wan. obi-wan and yoda wouldn't have had kids, and they have died. The you-are-not-allowed-to-love was no more than a rule. All of their rules are gone. It's an entirely new jedi order lead by Luke. It makes sense for him to have a kid. Plus as it's episode 7, Luke needs to have had a kid to continue the father/son skywalker story arc. As for Obi-wan and yoda, it wouldn't make sense for them to have kids. I don't see why this is difficult to understand.

  4. I'm fine with having various races and even mixed race characters. I hope it happens in ep7 (This actress looks amazing btw!). But if Obi-Wan's "descendent" looks that much different from him it will make it that much harder to believe they are related biologically.
Even if his descendent was a "white" alien it would be hard to buy into if she looked too alien, especially if this is a new revelation and not set up in other media. The audience already has a barrier to believing that non-related actors are related anyway. The more the actors look alike, the easier it is to suspend disbelief. It's like Ian Malcolm's daughter in JP2. I just never bought that she was his biological daughter. Diversity is fine, but it needs to serve the story, not the P.C. police.

      Delete
    3. Not true, sith have beliefs and codes they follow, rules. One can be a darkside user and not be sith. Get your facts straight.

      Delete
    4. That was not once mentioned in the films. It established the light side and the dark side. If you want to be nitpicky and reference stuff outside of the movies then be my guess but episode 7 is, with any luck, going to follow the films and the film's rules of light side and dark side. Complicating it further with more subdivisions is completely pointless and will detract from the significance of the clarity between good and bad if there is semi-bad following certain rules and codes and beliefs or semi-good and following certain codes and blah blah blah. Just make it light side and dark side. Good and bad. Why complicate it for christ sake

      Delete
    5. eleven-thirtyeight.com wrote a dozen articles about how everyone being a Jedi or Sith is bad. Grand Moff Tarkin bossed around Darth Vader! What about Han and Lando, or the pilots of the Rebellion? That's a Prequel problem that seeped into the EU, and now the Fan's ideas about VII.

      Delete
    6. What you propose is simplifying a subject that we have seen already "Just make it light side and dark side. Good and bad." Thats repetitive to see over & over. Complexity is the next stage for a more interesting story, because if you just do a "light side and dark side." "Good and bad." It will just draw more comparison to previous works and possible inferiority, with a been there done that already and did it better result.

      Delete
    7. "Thats repetitive to see over & over."
..So you're saying we shouldn't see the traditional storytelling between good and evil because it's been done before.. Wow, please, whatever you do, do not go into writing films.

    8. Yes, R3GAnator has a very appropriate statement.

    9. Yes. We shouldn't see the traditional storytelling of between good and evil if we have already seen it before in this movie franchise. Its Time to move on to a more advanced style of storytelling, its time for it to evolve.

      Delete
    10. The story of good conquering evil will never get old. To say it's already done before so we shouldn't see it again is ridiculous. The story of the originals is a clear example of this. Luke, and Vader. Light side, and dark side. Simple and brilliant. There's millions of different variations to tell the story between good and bad. I don't want to be flooded with jedi's and sub-jedi's and sith and semi-sith's and different variations of codes and laws and rules and subdivsions and blah blah blah. A clear fight between good and evil will always be the best way to tell the story and they summed it up perfectly between the rebels and empire, and also the light side vs the dark side/jedi vs sith.

      Delete
    11. The Rebels alliance won the Galactic empire lost, the sith are dead, don't you think its time to go in a new direction?

      Delete
    12. Its is ridiculous to be opposed to something new, instead of a retread of things we have seen before. Its time for a change in story. Can there be villains in it? Yes, but the main overarching plot should not be about "the good guys stoping the bad guys" it can be a "side plot". There needs to be more "normal people" in the the next Star Wars movie, more relatable people, more mysterious people with questionable allegiances and genuine good hearted people. All this done with actions and words, if the character is a "good guy" show it, don't just tell us that person is good, show it with words and actions same for being mysterious or any other character traits. This is the seventh movie in a thirty seven year old franchise, its time to shake it up, improve and adapted, make you question what you see, spark up a discussion.

      Delete
    13. You are talking absolute rubbish. Sure alright, you can have all the relatable characters in the world. You can have all the mysterious characters in the world too, that has absolutely nothing to do with the simple idea of continuing the star wars story between good and evil. The jedi and sith. If you don't like this and you're looking for something different, then you're not a fan of star wars are you.
"don't just tell us that person is good, show it with words and actions same for being mysterious or any other character traits." Yes. What's this going to do with anything?..
"This is the seventh movie in a thirty seven year old franchise, its time to shake it up, improve and adapted, make you question what you see, spark up a discussion." ...Umm, yes. But again, what on earth has this got to do with anything? You have no idea what you're even talking about.

      Delete
    14. The sith are dead to bring them back and start another war is bad story telling ." What's this going to do with anything?.." It is going to make better characters and chance of better performances."what on earth has this got to do with anything?"It has everything to have to do with it, this is a chance to make a Star Wars movie that "in its own way" is just as good or better then the original Star Wars movies. "You have no idea what you're even talking about." I know exactly what i'm talking about, you just unable grasp the concept. "If you don't like this and you're looking for something different, then you're not a fan of star wars are you." Insults have no place in a civil conversation. I do not question your devotion to intellectual properties.

      Delete
    15. "The sith are dead". Well clearly not. This is episode 7. It's the next episode. It's going to continue the story and go in a new directions. Simply ignoring the legacy that star wars is famous for and changing it, because good and evil has already been done, is beyond stupid. They should explore what's been established. Not just change it. Like when George introduced the midichlorians. It's completely pointless. Stories should develop and deepen and explore new directions, it shouldn't just be all new and ignore the legacy of what made it successful in the first place. No, bringing back and developing the story of star wars is not bad storytelling, it's just continuing the storytelling. Ignoring what came before is bad storytelling. And to claim that is is I who is unable to grasp the concept is just funny to be honest. You're answers to my questions were ridiculous. Seriously, "chance of better performances." What the heck? An actors performance in a film has nothing to do with continuing the story of a film.

      Delete
    16. "An actors performance in a film has nothing to do with continuing the story of a film." Just with that sentence tells me all i need to know about you, this conversation is over.

      Delete
    17. haha of course this conversation is over. You're not talking any sense. How are the performances going to be better in a film if the overall representation of good and evil is represented differently? They're completely different variables. It's like saying "my singing voice perfomance will be better if the sky was green." They're difference variables that won't affect eachother. What matters in a performance is the particular dialogue or actions that the actor will perform in the scenes. It's nothing to do with what the actual overall representation of good and evil in a story. You could play an evil banker, or you could play a character like palpatine. Different characters, different motivations, and different representation of evil, but the performances have equel potential between eachother. I'm excited for the new stories, characters, dangers, plots, and yes the performances. Now, to ignore the potential because it's still in the general concept and theme of a story based on good vs evil, which in star wars is represented by the jedi and sith, and that's "been done before" is stupid..

    19. To the jackass above who said that midichlorians were pointless, please remember that the midichlorians are NOT the force. They are the parts in cells that are receptive to the Force. Think of the Force as like radio waves. Midichlorians are the radio dishes that help amplify the Force. So your mythology is still intact.

      Delete
    20. Oh dear god. Are you a troll? Of course I am "stuck on this". That's because that's the thing we are talking about. It's like if we were debating if it was March or April, and then you randomly say "You are so stuck on this "March or April" thing... It's like.. umm well yes, because that's what we are talking about.. Yes. You're absolutely right. I am talking about 'this "good and evil thing"'. I was talking about how star wars represented good vs evil, in part via the jedi and sith. That's the topic I am on about so of course I am going to be talking about it. What do you expect? You're the one who argued my argument with random rubbish about the amount of relatable characters and mysterious characters. Then you said the performances of the actors will be somehow better if the good and evil of the story are represeted in another way. Which all makes no sense. Oh, by the way, you haven't argued back a single one of my arguments against yours yet, so I'm going to assume you've secretly realised I'm right and you've made a mistake and can't be bothered to admit it.. "Good day sir." What a great and valid debate. You're just dodging anything I'm saying. You should take up a politician job.

    21. ..ok um well thank you for your explanation about midichlorians, but I didn't think the midichloians WERE the force in the first place. I'm sayng Midichlorians were a pointless addition to the story. I don't care what they do. That has nothing to do with it. They did not make the story or the mythology of the force any better at all. In fact they made it worse by getting rid of the fantasy and mystery of the force and made it more science based, the exact opposite of why it was special. The force seemed like something you could tap into. The bigger the relationship and focus you had with the force, the more powerful you were with it. But then it was pointlessly changed into something worse.

In what used to be the canon there was a distinction between Sith and Dark Jedi. The Dark Jedi were fallen Jedi but the Sith followed a more specific set of teachings. They might dumb it down in the new Canon of the Day but there is a basis for the distinction.

    25. Star Trek has been turned into action movies with very little complexity. The original Star Wars movies have more complexity than Star Trek now,and do you think darkjedi - sith just spawn out of Korriban?

      Delete
    26. I have no idea what star trek and korriban has got to do with anything. And as I said, all your talk about actors performances and relatable characters and mysterious characters has nothing to do with anything either.
I'm merely correcting your statement "Dark jedi maybe, but not sith.". Dark Jedi are sith. Complicating the destinations between good and evil is pretty stupid and destroys the concept of what is right and wrong if there are sub divisions. Characters have conflicts and both good and evil, and what matters is the path they choose. In star wars this is represented as being on the light side or being tempted into the dark side. "Do, or do not. There is no try." It's one or the other. "If once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will." It's much better to just leave it like this. making codes and rules and subdivisions of evil is just not necessary. Sith or Jedi summed it up well. And as it's episode 7, a continuation of the saga, this will be explored more. To have the laws between jedi and sith changed and tweaked so far into the saga is not necessary and will actually ruin the significance of what came before it instead of honoring and exploring it further. I'd like to see what else the sith can do apart from chocking people and shooting lightning out of their fingers. I'm excited.

    27. Ummm, there IS a disticntion between Dark Jedi and Sith. It exists whether you are aware of it or not. Everything is not black and white just to suit your preference of a simplistic movie.

      Delete
    28. Oh I am well aware of it yes. I'm also aware of all the other huge mistakes outside the films. I'm talking about what is established in the films, which is what is good and not contradictory and actually makes sense and doesn't drown the themes of the story.

  9. I agree, I think she'd be great as a Sith lord.

One thing that seems to be becoming pretty clear, if rumors are to be believed at all, is that Abrams and company are being VERY deliberate and careful with their casting choices. From all reports, it's only two months until they begin principle photography, and if indeed they're still unsure as to who their leads are going to be, it seems to me that they have some pretty specific ideas about their new main characters and are looking for exactly the right actors and actresses to play them, rather than just settling.

Of course, I suppose the other possibility could be that they still don't have the characters and script nailed down as much as they let on, and that that's the source of the casting troubles. But I tend to doubt this. (Mainly because I hope Ep. 7 ends up being something that everyone really digs, and this wouldn't bode particularly well for that.)

  10. I understand people don't want to see the new trilogy littered with descendants of the OT characters, but...come on. What kind of soulless creature doesn't want Luke to have a son in this series as the main character? Or Lando to have a son or daughter? Or Han and Leia? That's really 3 characters at most, and probably not even that. More like 2.

The rest of the cast will likely be new characters The whole series is a generational tale of the Skywalker family anyway, and how they deal with the same decisions, sins of the father, yadda yadda yadda. To me it makes complete sense that the force would bring the children of Lando, Luke, and Han/Leia together to save the galaxy.

NOT Obi-Wan though. Him having a secret love child is a horrid idea!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Luke needs to have a kid to follow the whole main-character-is-the-next-generation's-Skywalker-kid-narrative. Then Leia and Han should have twins/2 kids for the sidekicks. But other than those characters, the parents and origins shouldn't be relevant to anyone else. They can't just force random children into the story from yoda and obi-wan and blah blah blah. It's not relevant. Luke Leia and Han need to have their own children because it's actually important.

      Delete
  11. ..Let's say obi-wan had a child round the time of revenge of the sith. well revenge of the sith to a new hope is 19 years. So the child at episode 4 is 19 years old. Wouldn't obi-wan mentioned that child? Then from a new hope to empire strikes back and then to return of the jedi is a total of 4 years. So the child at the end of return of the jedi is 25 years old. So if episode 7 will be around 30/40 years after return of the jedi, judging by the fact Leia/Carrie Luke/Mark and Han/Harrison have aged 30/40 years, the child will be 55/65 years old in episode 7... Obi-wan, or pretty much anyone for that matter, having kids is completely stupid. The only parent/kid stuff we should see is from Luke Leia and Han. Everything else is just too unbelievable and forced and doesn't make sense, plus it will be too much and overshadow the fact Luke Leia and Han had kids anyway.

    1. Tell me about it. If anyone besides the Trio is having kids, is's Lando. Billy Dee said he had a Daughter in the film.

    2. Even Lando having kids would be a bit of a bad move to be honest. He wasn't one of the main trio. Very important to the story of the originals, yes. But this isn't the originals anymore it's a new saga. Obi-wan, yoda, lando were all important and brilliant characters, but the story can't be too cluttered with family businesses. Lando was not part of the trio and he was not a skywalker. I'd personally geek out over seeing Lando back and with a kid, but I think for the bigger picture it would be much better for the film for him to die or have died in some way. Plus it would give a stronger focus on the original trio and their kids.

  12. Its plausible Obi-wan had family before he joined the Jedi Order. A mother, father, siblings, etc. Any of those relatives could have been force sensitive. Not that they require my approval but I would be okay with him having relatives just not a direct descendant. Anakin and Obi-Wan faced with the same exact temptations in their training but made different decisions that set them apart. This is a repeated theme throughout the prequels. Obi-Wan is confirmed in his choices because he can see what happened to Anakin, so it makes little sense that Obi-Wan would follow in the same footsteps after the fact. The Clone Wars series shows a romantic relationship between him and Duchess Satine of Mandalore, and if you read any of the EU from the prequels, you would know he had a relationship with Siri Tachi. If he did end up with children, it would explain the don't ask don't tell relationship he had with Anakin. Anakin was too proud to admit he needed help - and too arrogant to believe anyone could do something he could not do himself. Of course, if Obi-Wan had kids, why he would train Luke instead of his own is lost on me. Sure, the will of the force, destiny, blah, or he was staying away so if Vader found him he wouldn't also find his child too but then if Luke was destined for something and Obi-Wan knew it, why would he risk leading Vader to him by hanging around. I think the best possible scenario with a kid for Obi-Wan, is an unknown child, from one of his former romances that occurred not after Anakin's fall but before it. That kid could have kids and someday Luke would be able to return the favor, by training Obi-Wan's descendant. My 2 cents.

  13. Why should a character be there because they were related to obi-wan. Why can't a new and unique character be there because... the character is new and unique. Do we really have to reference everything instead of just creating something entirely new? Luke Leia and Han should have kids to follow the story. Everything else is irrelevant.

  14. dark jedi would be better and more fitting somehow,
I doubt the Sith could return so quickly without our sensing it hahaha
i would prefer a more darker feel with a return to the rustic and oily
star wars i grew up with, moving along from the kid with his romantic wussy slop
along with that Jar Jar bla bla Come back home Star Wars!

  15. The daughter of Obiwan's adopted Twi'lek daughter she is. Found the mother as an orphaned child obiwan did. On Ryloth after the Separatists attacked it was. But the council forbade the attachment you see, and forced Obiwan to abandon the mother we did. Anger and desperation in the mother we caused. And fallen to the dark side she has. And so has her daughter...
Master Yoda (force ghost) to Luke in another ridiculously created back story in the mould of TCW. Eg. How Maul was a what brought by what and then what so that he could be suddenly related to Dathomir....

  16. I am thinking she could be Lando Calrissan daughter raised in the likeness of the force only to betrayed Luke and Ben Skywalker and form a Sith council which introduces us to a whole new army of sith warriors led by her and Darth Kryatt or Darth Wrrylox as they are mentioned in the expanded universe or she could Oola daughter she never knew she had.

    1. "Nyong’o has been reading for a is a major female role and doesn’t seem to be tied into the family lines from Episodes 4-6"

Did you read that? That's a sentence from the article above, the one that everybody is talking about. How can she be auditioning for a part of Lando's daughter when the character she is reading for has no family ties from episodes 4 -6? And why introduce a character that is the offspring of such a minor character as Oola?

    2. Why do all these new characters have to be children of characters we've already seen before? Why can't they just be new characters. What's their parents got to do with anything? The only family stuff we should see is Leia Luke and Han's children as Luke Leia and Han are/were the central characters, so they need to pass down the torch to the next generation. So it makes sense for them to pass down the torch to their kids, as Leia and Han are in a relationship and Luke should follow the tradition of passing down his teachings to the next generation's Skywalker. No lando children, no obi-wan children, no yoda children, no oolah children. Stop the madness!

    3. I'm just going to point out that Darth Krayt wasn't even active at the time the film supposedly takes place... Not that any of what you said made sense anyway

  17. if you read the books just before the fate of the jedi series darth krayt is mentioned there and also if you read the legacy comics he was a prisoner of the yuuzhan vong and rose to power but was in hiding, so it does follow the story line people and whether or not u want to accept it or not, Chewbacca, Anakin solo and jacen solo are dead, so the next trilogy needs to focus on ben skywalker and Amelia solo.

    1. Krayt get's captured by Vong scouts a decade before the Yuuzhan Vong invaded. He then went in and out of stasis for a good 70-80 years. Both Ben and Jacen's daughter(you spelled it wrong) would have been dead by the time the One Sith truly reveled themselves. Unless you're expecting them to make a movie about Abeloth

    2. yeah I do understand that but read this book ok, crosscurrent and riptide, Krayt is mentioned in there as well as darth wrrrylox, might of spelled that wrong, so I understand what you are saying but a sith has to lay the foundation for this to happen cause as you can see in the legacy comics the have a number of siths in there and also these jedi knights that are with the galatic alliance, well the prequels introduce us to the birth of the empire right? then the original trilogy was the birth of the new republic so to speak, so why not have the next trilogy focus on the galatic alliance.

    3. There isn't any argument I can make against that, but it's incredibly doubtful they'd actually do that in the movie. On a side note, the Imperial Remnant is far more interesting then the GA.

    4. the imperial remnant is cool and I would love for once to see a dark jedi similar to Darth Maul or something.
