Star Wars Twitter Buzz. List Of All Rumored Star Wars: Episode 7 Actors/Actresses & More on Jack O'Connell.

trooper

Just a few cool tweets from the last days and a list that I made with all actors and actresses that have been rumored for Episode 7 so far & more on Jack O'Connell's involvement with the movie...

One of the rumored black actors for Episode 7 was John Boyega. It was also revealed that the new Terminator movie also wanted him. Now it appears that another actor got the role. Does that mean that Boyega's chances for Star Wars are increasing? I guess we'll find out in a month time.

Also Jack O'Connell, one of the rumored actors for Episode 7 has recently confirmed that he met with the Episode 7 casting director but it was a general meeting and he was unaware it was related to Star Wars.
‘I’m open-minded,’ he says. ‘JJ [Abrams] seems like an awesome director and a lot of people speak very highly of him, so for that reason alone I’d have to consider it.’ (via Metro

And check out this impressive list of all the actors/actresses that at some point were rumored for a role in the movie. You can imagine that there are much more that we haven't heard anything about.

    2. Oh jees yeah that too. I feel like the whole lead black actor thing for the sake of diversity is so stupid. sorry but there's loads more white actors who are just way more star warsy than blacks. To fit the role because of outside influences like diversity is very odd. Nothing to do with their skin colour of course, but none of the black actors that have been rumoured for a role are even remotely star warsy. Although the rumour for Lupita as a sith is freakin brilliant.

    3. Yeah why be tolerant and open when you can be racist and closed-minded?

      Delete
    4. Yeah because if I want what's best for the film, that makes me a racist.. Skywalkers were white. I'm not being racist that's just the way it is. To change the story and narrative of the Skywalkers because of diversity is just weird.

    5. I agree. If the NAACP wants to cry about there has to be a black skywalker, then i want half the Harlem Globtrotters to be white period. Half of the NBA to be white period. Half the NFL to be white period. Ohhhh did i just hit a nerve ? MUAHAHAHAHAHAA !!!!!!!!

    6. Im pretty sure those casting ideas came from GL as he has been into diversity too much lately and has pushed JJ into getting a black guy as a lead...

    7. His new born child is black, so why not?

    8. "star warsy" AKA white.

You can't allow black people even the possibility to succeed when you can't picture them in a 100% fictional galaxy in which half the characters are not even human.

  10. Somebody on twitter is claiming that people in the film industry have been invited to pinewood to read the script or something and "It marks the end of the Skywalker Saga, and will launch new stories with all new characters.". Hope this is wrong. The entire point of star wars follows the skywalkers in one way or another.

    2. That would be completely stupid. If that's the case then it shouldn't be called episode 7. Episode 7 has to be about the Skywalker & Solo offspring. And none of this adopted kids nonsense. It has to be Skywalker bloodline.

      Delete
    3. Exactly. 99% sure they would give Leia and Han twins, and it just leaves Luke. Adoption is so stupid. It would continue the father/son narrative and lead Skywalker narrative if Luke had a son. Having him adopt destroys both those obvious concepts and plot advantages. All these rumours to fit the story over a 'diverse' cast is beyond stupid if true.

      Delete
    4. The claim that people in the film industry are reading the script is not true. It's a speculation based on a single forum post. I spoke with the guy from whom everything started.

      Delete
    7. Oh christ I hate EU fanatics too. But Han and Leia should have twins because if Luke has a child which is a lead and he/she needs two sidekicks like Leia and Han were, then Leia and Han needs to have two kids. Trust me I hate the EU but twins make 100% sense.

    1. Yep. That picture of Luke is real. George Lucas originally asked Jim Henson (The creator of the Muppet Show) to play Yoda In TESB but Jim suggested Frank Oz to play Yoda. Frank Oz was the puppeteer behind Miss Piggy. Fozzie The Bear and numerous other charters on the show. Mark Hammil also made an appearance on the Muppet Show around the time that TESB was released.

  13. at VIRAL HIDE.......please lets do a post on why we don't need the dam EU book story in episode 7. These EU fans have done nothing but drag oil from their ears since the birth of the EU. They bash original trilogy fans ideas, they bash prequel fans ideas, they bash any ideas that anyone comes up with because they are glued to the books with their cheeks way too much. It's time once and for all to destroy the EU just like the way the Death Star was destroyed in part 4 and 6. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !!!!

    ReplyDelete

    1. There's an 'n' in 'damn'. And by "ideas", do you mean fanfic and stuff that fans have come up with in their own heads since ROTJ? How they would want the story to go? Because the writers of the ST are going to "bash" those ideas just as much as they're going to "bash" the EU. Maybe even more so. It's not the place of fans to come up with "ideas": it's the job of professional writers.

    2. I have no hate for the EU fans, neither do I have any hate for the PT fans. Each to their own as far as I'm concerned. But one thing I do object to is being told that I'm just a casual Star Wars fan because I haven't read the EU books. I'm just waiting for all the wailing and gnashing of teeth by the EU fans when Ep. 7 finally comes out and there is no hint of any EU plot lines. You people have been warned, don't come onto a site like this and complain because you'll probably be met with derision.

    3. I only hope that minor niggles like book and comic continuity are the only wailings and gnashings of teeth post - Ep VII. It's a repeat of the post Phantom Menace gnashings i don't want to experience again.:D In all honesty, i'm pretty certain that as long as a good and worthy Star Wars movie i delivered, then all will be well and this EU warfare will fall by the wayside. Apart from a few hardcore wingnuts. Or maybe i'm just being overly optimistic and fooling myself.

    4. I dpn't have a problem if they follow on Hans kids like the EU has. However, as a long time SW fan, i DO NOT want to see Luke have a wife and child. That's just plain stupid beyond the realms of space. The jedi makes the ultimate sacrifice of being single. We already have done Anakins fall because of drama, we don't need more. We got the point. part 7 needs to continue to focus on what the Jedi are about and the original stars leading the way passing the torch to the new generation for episodes 8 and 9. And to watch how the new Jedi respond to the new age of war with the sith and whomever else they fight. Keep the romane for the ones who are not Jedi. Like Hans son ( Ben Solo ) . And please do not name him Anakin Solo. Why on Earth would anyone name their child after what became of him ? lmao !!!! Do you name your child Hitler ? That's what i thought. In real life, REAL, Han and Leia would name their son Ben after the sacrifice on what he did to help them escape the death star in part 4. To honor his memory. They would't name their son after a tyrant. Thast why i hate what the EU books are. And chewy of all ones dies in the EU ? SCREW THAT !!!! . Keep it real. TO HELL WITH THE EU !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    5. One thing that I've been thinking about that no one else has bought up about the whole Luke has a kid story line. The Jedi council at first did not want to train Annikin as he was to old and had made attachments in his life (His Mother, and a boyhood crush on Padme) This eventually lead to his downfall. Luke is a damn sight older that Annikin when he receives his training from Yoda in ESB. He has already made some rather significant attachments in his life already, his Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, Ben Kenobi (If only briefly but he did have a huge impact on his life) and later Han, Leia C3PO and R2D2, even Chewbacca to a lesser extent. He then finds out that Leia is his sister which probably intensified his caring for her. And to top the whole thing off, he finds out that the man he is meant to kill is his Father. There's a lot of attachment there, a damn sight more than what we are lead to believe a Jedi should have. Now, at the end of ROTJ he defeats Darth Vader and refutes The Emperors invitation to join him in the dark side, a feat that 99.9% of the Jedi order managed to accomplish but only without the burden of attachment. I'm going to upset all the EU fans here but hey, I don't care, I'm only talking about the 6 films that already exist and the 3 that are about to made. Luke had all these attachment issues and still managed to stave off the lure of the dark side. It is feasible that Luke could fall in love and have children. The only way that I think Luke might have an adopted child is if he turned into Elton John in the last 30 years. So I do think that Luke could build a new Jedi order without the restraints of the old Jedi order we saw in the PT.

      Delete
    6. Thank you. One of the things that was shown in the prequel trilogy is how paranoid and overprotective the jedi order was. Ultimately it failed. "attacthment is forbidden". I mean seriously? The Jedi were just kind of like religious space police officers but George sort of turned them into nuns. The originals show that all the fears about loving and having friends and attatchments didn't mean anything, It's down to your own goals and your own ambitions. Anakin was constantly saying "I want more, but I know I shouldn't". That, and being manipulated by Palpatine was his downfall. Not his love. If he HAD love, he wouldn't have turned to the dark side. The fact that love is seen as a bad thing for Jedi, is absolutely ridiculous and should be one of the many things from the prequels that should be avoided in episode 7.

    7. Another thing I keep on reading is that the OT should be rebooted. Sod that. If any Star Wars trilogy needs rebooting it's the PT. I'm gonna get a lot of hate from the PT fans but that's cool. I've watched all 6 films over and over and over again and I find that the PT has plot holes so big you could drive a Mack truck through them. I find that the PT fans don't get into the OT because the films are "old" and "boring". I don't find the PT to be "boring" but I see a hell of a lot of mistakes that George could have avoided. The whole attachment thing. Annikin being such a whiny prick in Episode II. Annikin being such a whiny prick in Episode I. Qui Gon saying that the Jedi can't fight a war for Queen Amidala and can only protect her, surely they could think for themselves and say "Hang on, This planet needs help. Lets go kick some Trade Federation ass" That was the Jedi I thought I was going to see when I first saw Episode I. And what about Sifo-Dyas? No mention of him in Episode III. People have posted about Mace Windu coming across as a forced character in the films. What about General Grievous? All of a sudden we have this Darth Vader clone that can use a lightsaber or 4 but it was like "Hey. Here's your new bad guy people, hope you like him" I did see the original clone wars cartoon but I still felt the same way, Where the hell did this character come from. At least the OT had some consistency to it. Yes there were new characters added but we had some sort of explanation to why we were going to see them. Yoda = Ben came to Luke in a spirit form and told him to go to Dagobah. Lando = Han And Leia had to escape Hoth because they were under attack. They take shelter and look at their options and hey presto, we come up with the Bespin system, home of Lando Calrissian. Boba Fett = Vader wants to capture the Millennium Falcon so he hires a few bounty hunters so he can try and trap Luke and turn him to the dark side. Jabba The Hutt = We knew that Han owed him money from Episode IV so it was inevitable that we would see him in Episode VI. Like I say we need a new PT. and not 3 films that are basicallt Swiss Cheese.

    8. Oh man I'd so kill for a remake of the PT. Because the overall concept is actually good, it's just the script and the direction. Good synopsis though so it has potentiall; obi-wan trains anakin, anakin becomes a great amazing legendary jedi knight, he is then tragically turned to the dark side, while a manipulation of the senate is happening where a creation of a glactic empire is formed. That has a lot of potential to be good. Yet Anakin was never really a good guy, all the jedi were wooden dull cardboard cutouts for characters, and we got were classic lines like "I don't like sand. It's rough it's course and it gets everywhere". Seriously George? How could he possibly fuck up all that potential!? Praying for a remake although I highly doubt they would risk it because I think everyone will think it's a load of rubbish and not go to see them, and hey, the remake could be bad too.

    9. Why not write your own version and then read it to yourself?

      Delete
    10. Because writing something yourself doesn't quite have the same effect as reading something new and unexpected, nor does it quite match the same experience as watching a $200million movie..

      Delete
    11. Other than Ewan, that casting for the PT was TERRIBLE. Then add to that an almost laughable script and you wind up in a hole so deep that no amount of CGI can dig you out.

      Delete
    12. Ian Mcdiarmid and Ewan were the only good actors. Christopher Lee was also good but he's always good so

    1. Screw the EU, but having Leia/Han Solo twins as sidekicks to Luke's next generation Skywalker kid is clearly the best way to go.

      Delete
  17. Why can't the movie have the twins like the EU and one of them be the one to crossover to the dark side (Darth Caedus) which would still be of the skywalker bloodline just the solo name and have Luke's son be the destined hero from the start along with the help of his cousin to stop his evil cousin??

    1. Twins are good. Using the storyline of the EU is bad. Plus star wars has already done the whole turn to the dark side redemption thing. It's time to just focus on the bad guys being bad guys.

  19. I have a question...... If Anakin was created by the power of the force and what many argue is that he was the chosen one, then how come he killed kids at the Jedi temple ?.... would the chosen one do that ?... i think not.... so wouldnt that make him a false prophet and not the chosen one ?.... also, a sith named Darth Plagius The Wise knew how to create life by using the force, so how come fans cant connect a possibility that he could have created Anakin and thats why Anakin was doomed anyway. He was a brat, always crying, always mad. Wouldn't that make sense ?. He was doomed anyway, Emperor Sidious just sped the process up... And we know Luke didnt kill Vader or Sidious. And if the sith planet with sith will be in part 7, then that means Luke is not the chosen one. And the balance is never balance. At one time the Jedi have the power, then its the sith, and back and forth... So their never really is balance of the force. Its either one side has more power than the other.. The chose one basically in so many words end the sith, or thats what we are believed to think. So after all this, would.t it make sense that one of Leias children could be the chosen one. She gets pregnate with one of the kids without Han. possible ???

    1. Anakin was the chosen one. At the end of ROTJ he commits the ultimate sacrifice by throwing the Emperor down the Death Stars reactor shaft and then asking Luke to take his mask off which basically sealed his own fate thereby bringing an end to the Sith.
