UPDATE! J.J. Abrams' Note to the Cast and Crew of Star Wars: Episode 7?

star wars

ScreenCrush found an interesting note supposedly written by J.J. Abrams himslef. Abrams wrote the note to inspire everyone working on the film. Don't worry there are no spoilers...

It looks like the note was written on paper similar to the one used for the Episode 7 script (unconfirmed):
Dearest Cast and Crew, What an honor it is to work beside all of you, on Star Wars Ep VII. I can’t thank you enough, for all work past and future. Let’s take good care of not just ourselves, but of each other. Amazing, but true: the world awaits this film. Let’s give ‘em something GREAT. xo JJ

I'm not sure how legit this is because ScreenCrush never mentioned where they got this piece from. Might be legit, might be not but surely it sounds cool!

UPDATE!

The big printed text across the page reads Dawn Gilliam - J.J. Abrams script supervisor. This supports the speculations that this was indeed the Episode 7 script:

  2. I would doubt this is the real deal. This is something that easily could be faked. The verbiage doesn't say anything specific (like a horoscope).

    1. What would be the point in faking it? I'd be suspicious if it did say something specific.

  3. um why would this be fake? Who would fake some friendly note to the crew? Why bother faking it? What would you gain in any way from leaking a fake not with no spoilers on it? Poor JJ though, all his behind the scenes doings being slowly unraveled presumably without his consent ha

  4. This image should be deleted because it's all caps!

  5. We might be able to ascertain it's authenticity if we could find out what those words are on the paper itself... probably a brand? What I tried to make out so far was "Dawn Gillian" but googled to no avail. If the company that prints that paper is Bad Robot's supplier then I'd say it's authentic. Well I guess if it's true then that would be pretty cool... JJ seems like an awesome guy.

  9. We do live in a world of pointless internet hoaxes, but if this is real, I like it!

  10. I'd believe this. This is why JJ is so highly regarded as a director. He is trying to inspire his actors before they undertake principle photography! Great stuff, and good luck to all involved in the production! :)

  11. Can someone clarify, what's the update? The article was the original post and it mentions Dawn Gilliam and yet the update is about Dawn Gilliam ??

  12. No, Dawn Gilliam is the woman's name who is on the paper, who works for Bad robot. That is how we were able to confirm with pretty good certainty that He wrote this note, because you can see her name in the picture... minus the D.

  14. Dear JJ Abrams,

Just release the entire cast, and give us the title of the film. Oh yes, and while you're at it, share some details about the plot and characters,

    Sincerely,
    A frustrated Star Wars fan.
