Small Star Wars: Episode 7 Casting Rumors Update.

star wars

JediNews got their hands on the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly featuring an article named Star Wars Episode VII A New Hope (Really). Hit the jump for some rumors obtained "from sources with direct information about the project who spoke on condition of anonymity..."

From JediNews:
- Casting began in earnest in January.
- At press time, several roles have yet to be filled, including a major female lead.
- Michael Arndt's initial script has been significantly overhauled by Abrams and Kasdan, which led to a delay in casting.
- Hamill, Fisher, and Ford had been secured to return for Episode VII before the Disney sale in 2012.
- Hamill, Fisher, and Ford will all have "significant" roles.
- Han Solo is considered a co-lead alongside 3 of the younger actors.

Actually none of the above rumors are something we haven't heard before but it's always good to hear them from several different sources.

    4. (Funny to see "Leia" with her hair down, instead of having some bizarre hairdo.) Honestly, Carrie Fisher seems to have worked hard to get in shape for this movie, as has Mark Hamill. With the proper makeup and lighting, they will look decent. Clearly much older, but not not embarrassing to look at.

    1. There shouldn't be any pop ups. Is anyone else having the same problem? Where does the pop-up appear?

    2. I fixed it. When I changed the size of the add it brought back the pop-up option back on.

    3. As appears at the bottom of the screen, scrolls up and down as you navigate the page. Same as what had happened the other week it looks like

    4. Ok, great. Thanks Viral. On a separate subject, I always view this site on my iPhone, never on a computer and the site appeared in a mobile view, a couple of months ago this disappeared and now it just shows in normal web browser view but the URL shows that it is a mobile view (according to the blogger help I looked up). I have two iPhones and it's the same on both...is this something that others have noticed or is it just me?

    7. About the mobile version.
I intentionally removed it. I didn't like how it looked and when people quote a link from the mobile version the whole site (mainly the logo) appears like a very low res image. By the way right now I'm working hard on migrating my blog to another platform. When everything is finished we will discuss and see if there are any issues at all.

    8. Yes, ads are still there. Makes sense what you say about the mobile version. I'm fine reading it like it is I just wondered if there was any reason as to why it disappeared. Not sure why these ads will still be appearing. If there was a way to send you a screen shot I would but I guess you know what ads I'm referring too anyway.

    9. I don't have any pop-ups on my phone. I checked again and the mobile ads are disabled. You can send me a screencap on my mail viralhide@gmail.com. By the way have you tried clearing your cache?

    10. actually...it looks like they are appearing only on the home page and not within individual articles

  5. although i think Han Solo is a wonderful character, I have issues with him being the leading character in this film, if the rumors are true. I am wondering if it was more of a corporate decision, rather than creative, simply because he is the biggest star and biggest potential draw. this film doesn't need that. it will be big $ either way. at the very least the trio should all share equally importance in this movie; i always thought they would logically spend more time with Luke's character, as the story always centered around his evolution as a Jedi. don't yet know what they have planned story wise, but having Han as the lead doesn't seem right to me. the idea of Luke playing a supportive role to Han seems like going in the wrong direction to me.

    1. I don't buy the rumor reporting Han Solo to be the leading character. He will surely have an important role, but the main story will certainly be based on the force. Just like in the 6 previous Star Wars films. I don't see why that would suddenly change.

    1. Leia being petite is part of the character, I should say. It is as if her personality is all the more intense because it is concentrated in such a small body.
