"The new Star Wars Battlefront game in development at DICE is far from complete, but it will be making an appearance at this year's E3.
During today's EA investors conference call, CEO Andrew Wilson responded to a question about the Star Wars games it has in development. The new Battlefront was the only one he discussed, saying it is coming along "very, very well," but there remains "lots and lots of work to go.""

"That said, Battlefront will be among the games EA shows off at E3 in June, according to Wilson. Whether it will be playable or simply seen in video form was not revealed."

E3 2014 is only about a month away.. So it won't be too long until we see gameplay or a trailer!

    1. Me too! I've been playing it when I was 10 and still am playing it until this very day. The only thing I hope that they won't rush it, because SWBF2 was so great because of the replay value. That being said, I hope they won't put many effort in the "campaign" sorta story, but instead in the instant action maps and battles.

    2. This game series is simply fantastic!!! I also started playing it with more or less 10 years old either!! And I got Battlefront2 on Steam last year! More than 400 hours of game play, I just cant get tired of this game!!!

  2. I wish they would revive the Rouge Squadron series for Nintendo. Those games were great.

    1. Rogue Squadron 64 was the best. The V-Wing was fun to fly.

    2. I think they should combine the best of Rogue Squadron with the old X-wing and TIE Fighter PC games and come up with a good solid starfighter combat game for the new generation systems. They could really come up with some expansive, dynamic missions with the capabilities of the new systems!

    3. Rogue Squadron is easily one of my favorite flight combat games. It was 12 years ago... and look how amazing it's visuals were back then! I can't believe it's been two generations of consoles without a Starfighter game of any kind! My heart... it is broken.

    4. Aren't they releasing Attack Squadron soon?

    5. So tired of hearing about rogue squadron... tie fighter and those other PC fighter sims blew those non linear games out of the water. And man... Dark Forces... imo one of the best FPS of all time... I wish I could replay it with updated graphics.

    6. Look everyone knows X-wing was an amazing series. However that franchise would be quite an undertaking to bring back to life. An arcade shooter is just more likely. Hence Attack Squadron. Either way I'm not tired of people talking about any Star Wars game because we hardly get any! So no need to hate on any past franchise.

As for Dopeyjoe's comment... have you seen the released video? It's a free to play smaller scale player vs player game and quite frankly IMO looks horrendous. I don't think Rogue or X-wing fans will like that title. I'm already worried once it flops people will think we don't have interest in flight games when really it's just because the only one they finally release was so awful :P

    7. I wasn't aware of those details, Anon. Doesn't sound like it's going to be the flight-based squadron game the fans are looking for. I too was a big fan of Rouge Squadron and X-Wing on PC as a kid. I'd love for them to release another game of that caliber. It could be that DICE is working hard on the flight-based battles in the new Battlefront and we'll get something really cool from that (hopefully better than the space battles in Battlefront II). Their gameplay for the latest Battlefield was great, IMO.

  3. Really wonder what it will look like with grafics etc, will it be run by the same greedy shitty way that BF is run with DLC, premiums etc.No matter it will be cool and exite fans.

  10. Dice as a company has really dropped the ball on Battlefield 4. EA is no different, look out for hoth, tatooine, endor or cloud city preorder DLC.

    1. 1000% in agreement.
This is EA, so OF COURSE it'll be a bugridden, freemium piece of shit.

Look at what they've done to thier other big name,
"can't miss" franchises like "Battlefield" & "SimCity".

What's that, you say? Yeah, but this is "Star Wars":
they wouldn't DARE fuck it up"!

Oh, my dear little naive Padawan .... Don't you see what
DISNEY itself has already done "Star Wars"?
SEVERAL games that LucasArts had at 90% or more
completion, yet Disney flushed them down the toilet.
All of that hard, dedicated work FOR NOTHING.

And look who's doing the movie ....
No, these soulless, cocksucking corporations CARE NOT for the belovedness source material, be it "Star Wars",
or "Star Trek" or whatever. Just put out the lowest common denominator shit they can & then milk the
franchise out of every fucking penny from all the suckers that are hooked.

Just like PSLs in football, face value 4-figure ticket prices
for concerts, insane pricing tiers for conventions,
etc., etc., etc. You dummies support this shit by buying
into it instead of boycotting it, and they just keep on fucking gleefully tightening the screws on all of you.
