Domhnall Gleeson Locks It Down!

This week was a big week for Star Wars leakers, such as TMZ posting about 45 pics on the internets. Even JJ Abrams joined in the fun by leaking a pic of his own. BUT Domhnall Gleeson says, "Mums the word."

Every hardcore fan knows by now that Carrie Fisher announced on multiple occasions (at least four that I recall) that she was returning to the galaxy far, far away to reprise her role of Princess Leia despite a presumed NDA.

Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill were much more hush-hush on the subject, foiling many interviewer's attempts to unlock the secret. But, perhaps, nobody has been more quiet about his role in Star Wars: Episode VII than Domhnall Gleeson. Herald.ie posted an article about the ginger actor stating:
THERE are some things that fame and money can’t buy - and this includes a sneak peak at the brand new Star Wars movie. The Irish star of the latest instalment in the Star Wars trilogy comes from one of Ireland’s best known acting dynasties, but Domhnall Gleeson has had to keep the script for the highly-anticipated flick under lock and key, even from his legendary actor dad Brendan.

That's pretty impressive security Domhnall, maybe you should give JJ some tips. What's more impressive is that Domhnall kept the secret of his selection quiet from his family and the world for several months. Even Domhnall's brother, apparently a huge Star Wars fan, hasn't learned anything, saying, "I didn’t know a thing, he kept it very secret."

Domhnall actually gave away a little tidbit back in May when he told the Mirror:
"I'm afraid if I say anything, I'll give away the plot of the whole movie. I've got two years of this ahead of me. The movie is released in December 2015 - that's the amount of time I have to keep my mouth shut!"

I can't even imagine how surreal and insane it would be to table read with the legends of Star Wars -- Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Peter Mayhew and Anthony Daniels. Adam Driver, in his quirky Adam Driver way, said of the table read that he wanted, "to make R2-D2 noises and lightsaber whooshes." Domhnall was a bit more like us when he said:
"It was like the day before and then I'm at a table reading with Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill.”
He added of the day that incredible black and white photograph was taken: “It was madness, but it was great."

Fans of this rising star may like to know that he has a new movie Frank currently in theaters. And of course he is currently busy filming the most anticipated movie in forever, coming to theaters in December 2015. Only 559 days left to go before you can speak freely again, Domhnall! May the force be with you -- You need it!

    3. He better be Luke's son. Great fit, both personality and look

    4. Isn't he a little tall for a Skywalker? He's much taller and way more attractive than young Luke, so I really doubt that he would be his son.

  5. Domhnall looks like an Irish interpretation of a South East Asian Ladyboy. A real handsome guy? No doubt.

    1. I love that they hired actors instead of celebrities. Unfortunately Ford is a much bigger and better name than he is an actor.

  8. He looks like Saoirse Ronan's brother, especially around those blue eyes.
Quite a coincidence that they're both from Dublin.
