Hit the jump to find out when and where the Episode 7 production is expected to start according to the latest rumors. Also check out the latest info about the casting process and auditioning...

Few days ago a report from THR revealed that Pinewood Shepperton reiterated its need for more capacity even after recently completing a new stage.
The stage operator near London, which is the home of the James Bond franchise and earlier this year attracted Star Wars: Episode VII as its latest big Hollywood production, has in recent years pushed for more studio space. But earlier this year, a British district council rejected Pinewood's application for a planned $300 million-plus expansion, the second time the company's growth attempts were held back.

It was also mentioned that Pinewood has just completed construction of its new Q Stage as part of the company's continued investment in its existing facilities.

Now JediNews' mysterious source Jedi Master SQL revealed few more bits about when and where filming could start:

I understand that the current intention is to clear stage late November for Episode 7. A large proportion of the Cinderella shoot is on location, so expect a 12 -14 week stage shoot.

The rest of 2013 will be used for the UK based crew to clear the stages and prepare for what is needed for set build and back structure. Lucasfilm recruiting crew now in key roles, and are fleshing out the crew in October. They don't want to pull them to the UK during the holiday season, so the schedule is currently due to start the 2nd week of January with a view to being on the stages for 24th February and the start of principal photography.

Now this report directly contradicts with previous rumors about the Millennium Falcon being build at Pinewood Studios with already finished interior.

Also during one of their podcasts Bleeding Cool revealed that the rumors about the Falcon and a cantina being constructed are not true and that there is no finished set you can walk into.

JediNews' source revealed even more stage info:

Cinderella is using the whole of the Bond Stage, it's the castle interior.

Also behind the Bond stage is the Cinderella village. There is some second unit action for the Ridley Scott Moses flick Exodus going on in the Attenborough Stage and also on the wet tank behind the new Star Wars stage. They have also built an Egyptian set outside which some sources believe is for Star Wars.

For the moment Star Wars will just build the standing sets, that is the ones they will use throughout the film, on the new stage.
Cinderella will be complete by Christmas, which is when Episode VII will start.

Looks like everything is moving according to plan and there will be enough time for filming.

Just for reference Disney’s Cinderella began principally photography at Pinewood Studios on September 23 and the film will be released in March, 2015.
Also The Avengers: Age of Ultron who will also be shot at Pinewood Studios begins principal photography in February 2014 for a May 2015 release date.

Jedi Master SQL also revealed some casting information:

My casting source has told me that beyond the planned casting calls and meets there has been little information coming out on casting. No one is getting rejected, they just get silence. There are two possibilities for this:

A lot of those who auditioned are scared to take roles that could clash with Star Wars shooting schedule, as naturally they all want in Star Wars. We could potentially see some negative comments in the next month as they realise their hopes are crushed.
It would be fair to say that a lot of those auditioning for the film fall into the UK cult market, well known to British geeks, but largely unknown outside the UK. Many of them have been flown to the States to audition again, oddly not to Los Angeles but to New York instead. Despite a lot of sites claiming that a high number have auditioned, we believe this is false. A high number have been put forward but very, very few are actually auditioning.

Finally according to the source Lucasfilm are going silent for a period and  announcements would start later in October and be "drip-fed in a controlled manner" for the remainder of the year.

Special thanks to JediNew.co.uk for the interesting report...

    1. True.

With Avengers 2 we know the title (Age of Ultron), the villain (Ultron), some confirmed actors (including the kid from Kick Ass), and release date (1 May 2015).

Disney - please treat Marvel fans and SW fans fairly and equally.

    2. Agree. The way Avengers/Marvel fans are getting spoiled with information makes me sick to my stomach.

Star Wars is bigger than Avengers. Period.
