Peter Mayhew Back on His Feet. Carrie Fisher to be in London Filming Star Wars: Episode 7 for 6 Months? Another Recent Pic of Mark Hamill.

star wars

After a few stories from the last few weeks hinting at a possible recasting process going on, here are a few new bits suggesting quite the opposite...

First some great news for Peter Mayhew. After many months of tireless effort, "Chewie has taken to his feet"!

From kickstarter:
Two weeks ago, within 6 months of his surgery Peter has eliminated the wheelchair from his day to day life all together. He's built the strength to be able to stand on his own two feet and walk long distances without the use of the wheelchair that has bound him for the last few years.

Rehabilitation continues five days a week and 2-3 hours a day. The last two hurdles to overcome are balance and standing for extended periods of time unassisted.

The next one comes from a comedian so keep that in mind.

Australian comedian Jim Jefferies recently appeared on the Opie and Anthony Show. Talking about working with the actress (Fisher will be appearing on Jefferies' FXX television series Legit), the comedian revealed that Fisher is going to London for 6 months filming Star Wars: Episode 7: (via SlashFilm)
"She’s a funny lady, man. She’ll be smoking cigarettes outside and as soon as she gets inside, she’s straight on to the vapor. She’s had some fucking hard partying in her life, I tell ya….She said to me, she goes ‘I’m going off to London for six months to film the new Star Wars movie,’ right? And I don’t think from looking at it, the new Star Wars movie is a direct continuation. It’s number 7 but it’s not going to be the next day, I’ll tell you that much. Maybe she had the same problem the Emperor had, I don’t know."
When the hosts suggested that maybe she has a cameo in the movie, Jefferies reiterated “She’s there for six months!”

It's funny that a few months ago another Australian channel revealed that musician James Blunt confirmed that Fisher will reprise her role in Episode 7.
So what's with the Australians and Carrie Fisher? :)

And speaking about the original cast, here's another recent image of Mark Hamill looking good. (via JCF member R-T-)

  3. Mark's looking great. The more speculation about Mark and Carrie, the more giddy with excitement I get. 6 months does sound kind of suspicious though. A film is usually done filming in around 3 months or. 5 probably at most for a big blockbuster. For example the avengers took 4 and a half months to film. And would Carrie really be needed for the whole time of shooting? Which is supposedly 6 months? Did he mean 6 weeks? Oh well, this is good news so I'm not gonna try to look too much into it.

    1. Could be they're filming parts of 8 & 9 simultaneously with 7. With the age of the OT cast you never know how much time you will have with them. Especially with the expected limited role the OT will have in 8 & 9, they may only need a few shots.

      Delete
    2. Agreed. Could be posible.

      Delete
    3. hmm, Carrie probably doesn't want to be dieting for the next 6 years if she only has a few scenes in ep8 and ep9. So it could be true but I doubt it.

      Delete
    4. Remember takes many weeks to learn lightsaber fighting, cast of PT was pon set long before shooting started training .

      Delete
    5. Yeah but this is about Carrie. Would they really make princess leia a jedi? If they were to introduce new jedi to star wars they would introduce new characters, like the kids of Leia, and leave the elder jedi stuff to Luke.

      Delete
    6. Well, in the extended universe Leia has had Jedi training, so it could be needed....

      Delete
    7. Yeah, but "in the extended universe" kind of explains why your point doesn't have a lot of substance as to what's going to happen in episode 7. I hope she isn't a jedi. Leia was always a badass and a great shot. She was probably better with a gun than Han was. I loved that. Plus making leia a jedi would kind of make Han the odd one out if both Luke and Leia were off lightsabering people and Han was just sort of .. there.

      Delete
    8. She doesn't have to be asaber-wielding Jedi to be strong with the Force. Yes, she is "the other Skywalker" and yes the Force is very strong with their family, but her understanding of the force through the years that've passed since ROTJ may just assist her everyday wisdom as an important political figure. I don't see why she'd need a lightsaber.

      Delete
    9. Hopefully Leia isn't a lightsaber-welding jedi knight in ep7. Presumably she's a commander or some kind of leader and parent with Han. Then Luke can handle the jedi stuff as he teaches the next generation.

      Delete
    10. Exactly my point. She may be stron with the Force and has the potential to be a Jedi, that's why hiding her existance from Vader was Key. She could have become an assett to aid the Empire. I'll be very happy if the EpVII team shows some restraint and makes it known that being strong with the Force doesn't mean you have to follow the pat of a Jedi. She may value the Jedi way very highly, as it is a big part of her heritage and helps sustain balance, but I think it'd make much more sense if she and Han settled down a bit and had a family, leaving childless, Jedi Master Luke (I'd really rather not see Mara Jade or Ben Skywalker in the new movie) to train the Solo children.

      Delete
    11. "Well, in the extended universe Leia has had Jedi training, so it could be needed...."

      The EU is fucked.

      Delete
    12. I'm fine with Leia having some jedi training, but at the end of the day she's a politician and we definitely don't need to see her fight or be a lightsaber wielding knight. Luke's the only character *that we already know* that shoulld be training poeple.

  4. All of this CANNOT be coincidence. Mar's in shape, Peter is rehabbing like a madman, and Billy Dee is on DWTS which is owned by ABC/Disney. The big three (and probably Billy Dee/Peter) are all coming back.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yep, that all seems overwhelmingly likely.

      Delete
    2. I think it's safe to say the big three are back. But I think billy dee and peter's involvement is still looking pretty bleak. Personally I'm still wondering if anthony daniels is back for 3PO, they'll definitely get him to do the voice as he still happily does it for cameos/tv spots/films so he wouldn't decline ep7, but I will be kind of hacked off if they don't actually put him back in the suit. His mannerisms and his subtle comical movements were just gold (if you would pardon the pun)

  10. Glad to hear about Carrie being involved in shooting even if it is a rumor. I hope her, Mark and Harrison come back. It will be one of the best things I can imagine seeing them in another Star Wars movie together

    ReplyDelete
  11. Well Carrie pretty much confirms that she, Mark, and Ford are back every month. No secret there. However hopefully the comments from the comedians will put the recast rumors to rest. Which were nonsense to begin with. Still, I wouldn't look for Mayhew to return as Chewbacca, atleast full time. They may give him an scene or two in the suit, but they're gonna need somebody a little younger who can do the running and heavy lifting that Mayhews body just won't be able to take anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Except if Carrie was in, she would have signed some pretty strict NDA's, by always talking about being in the movie since it was announced, she's been breaking it pretty regularly. Why aren't other actor's talking about being in the movie?

Harrison ford's schedule will be pretty tight, if he's involved, he has other projects that will conflict with filming, DWTS will conflict with episode seven as well. As for Mark Hamiil, he hasn't been contacted by JJ. The TV guide article said they were going to London this month, we haven't sen any pictures of them in London, and that was put in by the author of the article, Carrie Fisher never told him that.

As for what she shared with Jefferson, that would have been her breaking the contract again, and why should she talk to him about it, especially since he shared what she told him, and who says she wasn't speculating, about what was going to happen at the time. This story came out when she was going to be on the Big Bang theory, and people are talking about it like it was new news.

And to those who think she'd not playing with the fans, you should see her comedy show.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. so what's your point?

      Delete
    2. It's not JJ Abrams job to contact the actors.. It's the casting management that takes care of that.

      Delete
    3. Luke, Han, and Leia are supposed to be the leads right according to THR?

And if they're using the OT3 then they don't need casting management, especially since JJ knows them personally.

My point is that we should not assume that the OT3 are back just because of an old rumor, that slashfilm is promoting as new news. As for Peter of course he's going to recover after surgery. Fans are latching on this rumor because it's what they want to hear.

Fans will ignore anything that contradicts the ST that they have in their heads.

      Delete
    4. The evidence is clear that the big three are returning. It's natural for people to assume they are coming back with all the evidence. Nobody is clinging onto 'an old rumour, that slashfilm is promoting' at all. There's been evidence time after time after time that the big three are back, even from the big three themselves, it's not just one 'old rumour'.

      Delete
    5. If they were back they wouldn't be talking about it.
It would violate any NDA's, and contracts they would have signed.
We hear it from sites assuming that it is going to happen, and fans reading into any signs that they may be coming back.

So we have them saying that all five characters are coming back, How do you have that with Billy Dee's, and harrison's tight schedules, and commitments. Mark did say he would only come back if everybody else was back. After Harriosn Ford's current project ends, his next projrct will need 19 weeks. Filming on seven takes place in ten weeks, that means he won't be available for two months. Dancing with the stars will want all their participants back at the end of May, and that doesn't count tours, and special appearances.

      Delete
    6. I take the opposite view. If they were not back they would be under no obligation to keep the secrecy going. Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher would have talked about their disappointment to the press by now. The same goes for Antony Daniels. The fact that they haven't suggests they are back. Harrison Ford held back temporarily because he wanted assurances that a new Indy movie was going ahead. When he got this, the final obstacle to his return was gone. Sorry to burst your bubble.

      Delete
    7. Oh please, they wouldn't be given any NDA's about their involvment. They presumably will get NDA's about the script at some point. But at the moment they've just simply been told to keep their involvement hush until it's been announced. Even George Lucas said they were near the end of negotiations and being signed. Whenever they have been directly asked in interviews they always just say the usual "I don't know. I'm not ready to talk about it" . If they had signed official NDA's then they would be forced to say no, but they haven't. They let it slip many times at conventions and things. Then it's gone on the internet so they then had to deny it or say they were just joking. There's videos on youtube of Carrie saying she's being sent a trainer to loose weight, and there's a video where she says she's talked to JJ. Why would this happen if she wasn't invloved! There's a video of Harrison in an interview and he says the usual "I can't talk about it at this time", then the interviewer says "so you're involved then" and Harrison winks at him. Plus there are friends of the big three, like James blunt and Robert Englund and Jim Jefferies that have let it slip too. It's so obvious how can you be so naive?!

  18. I'd quite like thrawn to be in the film, but i also don't want thrawn in the film just for the fact that I can see all the butthurt EU fans who will moan for the next 2 years about how they should be owed certain things in the film ;)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If Thrawn is in the film, the plot certainly won't follow the chronology of the Thrawn trilogy. They don't want fans who've read EU novels knowing exactly what happens next; it just wouldn't be Star Wars.

      Delete
    2. Yeah I wouldn't want the same plot at all. I just like the idea of having thrawn jaina, jacen, and ben skywalker in ep7. But just those characters, not any of the stories.

      Delete
    3. Yeah, the concepts from a lot of the EU stories will probably be in there, but the overall plot will be something no Star Wars fan has ever seen before. That fact alone makes me mentally shit my pants everytime it pops in my head.

      Delete
    4. All I want from the EU is the names 'Jaina' and 'Jacen' for the twins, and Ben Skywalker for the main.. and that's it to be honest, just those names. Well, that is if it's going to follow the structure of having a main character and then two sidekicks which I hope so. Apart from those names I don't really want anything from the EU. But as I say Thrawn is an interesting character so I'm open for him. JJ, Lawrence, Simon, and Michael helming the script gives me a lot of confidence and Kathleen overseeing everything is great. I have high hopes and also shit my pants whenever I think of it.

    5. As much as I don't want it to happen, I really cannot see Disney not bringing back Darth Vader somehow. He is just way to marketable, and he is one of the best villains of all time.

      Delete
    6. No that won't happen. Disney aren't idiots. They know they can milk star wars for ages, they don't need darth vader. They aren't stupid, they know bringing back darth vader is just going to annoy and confuse people so they won't bother going to see the film as they will think it will be a load of marketing rubbish. Plus Disney are great at letting the creative team have complete control, like Marvel and Pixar, they will do the same with Lucasfilm.

      Delete
    7. Are you dumb? That's what Rebels is for! Of course Vader's gonna show up in that series and he'll probably look like an anime, clay-mation, lanky doofus just like just like he did before he became "more machine than man" in TCW.
There's absolutly no way he'll return as Vader in EpVII. Maybe Christiansen would be in it as a force ghost, but that's really the only possibility. I can't see them making that dumb of a move, though.

      Delete
    8. Agreed with March 11, 2014 at 12:19 PM
Darth Vader wasn't even a real character. The character was Anakin skywalker. His story has been told. How can they possibly bring back Anakin and why would they even do that anyway? I thought it would be interesting to Vader him in Rebels, as we can see Anakin grow more darker into the Vader role he see him in the films, but then they pointlessly made some new 'inquisitor' guy or whatever his name is so

      Delete
    9. By the time Rebels occurs, Annakin has already fallen and become Vader. His old self is gone. That was the symbolism in EpIII. I do really wish they had left out the Inquisitor completely and focused more on the bad-assery of Vader, but I'm sure he'll make his appearances in the series. I just can't take any more "force-users" added to the list of characters. It's getting far out of hand.
Point is, it'd be a very poorly made move for them to have Vader in EpVII. Not only would it make about as much sense as Annakin havin gthe time to train a Padawan during the clone wars, but it'd be redundant, unoriginal and lacking creativity. They can do so much better and I trust that they will.

  19. Can't say that I've ever been a fan of having a main SW character named something as dead common and ordinary as "Jason". It bugged the hell out of me from the first time I saw it in the original Thrawn books, and it never got any better after that. It'd be like giving everyone in SW names like "Chad" and "Tyler" and whatever else everyone and their brother are already named in the real world.

I always thought that name was some pretty lazy writing on Zahn's part.

    2. The more I think about it, the more I think that the name Jacen would actually fit pretty well in the Saga. It's a name that follows the "Luke" and "Ben" trend; names that are familiar to us in our culture, but have deep historical roots in mythology and religious literature of all kinds. I can see "Tyler" and "Chad" going way too far, but Jacen is just as relevent of a name as those given to classic characters in the OT. I understand your perspective, DEKKA, and also respect your opinion above most I read on this site, but I'll have to disagree here.

      Delete
    3. "Luke" I could always live with okay, because a.) the idea there was to name the main character after Lucas in an oblique way, and b.) I don't know dozens of guys named Luke in real life.

"Ben" was always a bit dicey for me too, to be honest, but a.) it was just a nickname, and b.) it was short enough that I could always rationalize it as being a short word from some GFFA language.

Once they start giving Star Wars characters common, trendy American names like "Jason", it's obvious that they aren't even trying anymore. We just got through with a trilogy of films where the main male character was called "Annie", and now we're talking about calling another main character by a name that's far more evocative of fraternity Rush Week on any given college campus than of a hero from another time and civilization halfway across the universe?

It's mighty weak sauce, right down there with calling characters "Chad", "Tyler" or "Darth Bob".

If they must use that god-awfully lame name for the character, I hope that they at least change the pronunciation so that it doesn't sound like they're constantly referring to That Guy In The Cubicle Next To The Copier.

      Delete
    4. I have a few friends called Jason. A short version can be called Jase, or Jay One thing that made me feel awkward was the whole thing about calling Annikin Annie. Might as well call Obi Wan Kenobi Ken.

      Delete
    5. I agree that it should be changed for the film because I'd rather be unfamiliar with every new character added to the saga.

      Delete
    6. Hell, I cringed when they kept calling Obi Wan's lead clone trooper "Cody" in ROTS even though I knew it was a reference to the old Commando Cody movie serial. Between that and three films worth of that "Annie" nonsense, part of me kept waiting for Padme to call for handmaidens named "Amber" and "Chloe"...

      Delete
    7. I 100% agree that "Annie" was an absolutly terrible nickname to give one of the most important characters in the saga.

      Delete
    8. I loved ben because it was simple, like Luke, plus it was Luke giving his kid a nod to old-ben/obi-wan kenobi. Then Jaina and Jacen both sound star wars-y but still familiar and tangible like Leia and Han.

      Delete
    9. I hear ya, man. To me, "Jason" just sounds exactly like the guy in the backwards Cubs cap who I did shots with at the bar the other night. Stuff like that really breaks suspension of disbelief for me.

      Delete
    10. hmm well if it was david, martin, jack, bob, etc etc etc then I would be annoyed, but Jacen isn't a common name at all.

      Delete
    11. Are you kidding me? Jason was one of the single most popular male baby names throughout the 1970s, and that popularity carried over for a good 20-25 years after that. I've known dozens of people with that name over the years. The celebrity lists are full of Jasons - Jason Alexander, Jason Statham, Jason Lee, Jason Bateman, Jason Mraz, Jason Segal, Jason Mewes, Jason Priestly, Jason London... why, ya cain't throw an action figure in this country what doesn't end up bouncing off'n the head of some yahoo named Jason! ;^)

      Delete
    12. Sure, but the character's name is Jacen and not Jason so I don't see your point.

      Delete
    13. Remember though, this isn't a book where a slight spelling change to a common name is going to register visually. In a movie, we won't read the name, we'll hear it. Repeatedly.

In the PT, Anakin was technically called "Ani" and not "Annie"... even though all we heard over and over and overandover was "Annie", just like all we will hear over and over and overandover in the ST will be "Jason" if they go with the EU character's name.

      Delete
    14. I hear what you're saying. I just think there's a big difference between Jacen, pronounced Jake'n and Jason...Ani and Annie sound the same because they are

      Delete
    15. See, now there I'm right with you. If they come up with a creative pronunciation that doesn't sound like "Jason", then it could definitely work.

What concerns me about that is that the fact that the name is spelled with a "c" rather than a "k" tends to suggest a soft "s" sound rather than a hard "k" sound. So I'm not so sure that the LFL crowd and the ST producers would think to pronounce it as "Jaken".

That would sure sound a helluva lot more Star Wars-ey than "Jason", though. ;^)

    16. It was only after I wrote that last post that I started doubting my own way of saying it. I have always called the guy 'Jake'n' as that's how I have always read the name Jacen. I see now that I could have been reading it wrong but in all other instances of the name Jacen outside of anything Star Wars related that's how it's been pronounced, Jake'n....

      Delete
    17. Here's hoping they go with your pronunciation if they use that name in the ST, compadre!

      Delete
    18. Oh god are you serious?. Jake'n !? Wtf is Jake'n!? Just go with Jacen for pete's sake. Jake'n will get much more stick than Jacen ever would. There's no problem with Jacen at all haha. Other than you don't like the name. Jake'n is a weird and distracting name. But there's no actual problem with Jacen, other than it's just a name you don't particularly like. Which is just unfortunate. Jake'n on the other hand is just a bad name altogether.

      Delete
    19. Jake'n was just how I was writing it to explain how I'd been pronouncing it in my head when reading...of course his name is Jacen. If you read the posts we were talking about how it's pronounced and not changing it to that spelling...it's just phonetics. All in all I couldn't care less if it was Jacen or Jason or Jaycen...it's a character in a book/film.

      Delete
    20. Yes. I know you were talking about the pronunciation. And as I said, Jake'n is awful haha

      Delete
    21. Not as bad as calling a Star Wars character "Jason", though.

"The evil Lord Darth Scott, obsessed with finding young Jason, dispatches a remote probe to the forest planet of East Greenville..."

      Delete
    22. Well scott and greenville are kinda ridiculous. But Jacen is absolutely fine. Really it's just your personal view that you don't like it. It's on the same level as Han Leia and Luke's names to be honest.

      Delete
    23. So, you had two or three kids in your class in grade school who were named Han, two or three named Leia, and two or three named Luke, did ya? Inneresting...

      Delete
    24. ..When did I ever say or even imply anything similar to having 2 or 3 kids in my class called Han Leia and Luke??.. I'm saying Ben is a common name and a nod to Ben-kenobi. Jaina is a cool name, different, and star warsy name yet at the same time it's familiar like Leia and Han, and Jacen is also an interesting and star warsy name that is familiar name but not common. I don't know a single person called Jacen or Jaina. Now Jacen is arguably more common that Jaina as the pronunciation is the same as Jason, and Jason is quite a common name. Although actually I don't know anybody called Jason either but whatever. Leia sounds like Laila and Leila which are common names. And Han Solo is still argued as to whether it's even pronounced H-UN or H-AN. For christ sake all this hypocritical arguing is bloody ridiculous.

      Delete
    25. How is it "hypocritical" to point out the fact that calling a Star Wars character by a commonly used name like "Jason" is about as creative as calling a Star Wars character "Scott" or "Robert"?

It doesn't matter one bit that it's spelled slightly differently in the SW books. Onscreen, we will still hear the name "Jason", just like we repeatedly heard the name "Annie" throughout the PT.

You may want to see things in the ST exactly as they are in the EU books, but that doesn't make it "hypocritical" of me to point out how awkward it would sound to have a main Star Wars character referred to onscreen by such a ridiculously common real-world name.

    26. (See, this is what happens when we go a few days without any new rumors to chew over. It's kinda like a party without booze. Boredom sets in, tempers fray...) ;^)

      Delete
    27. ..again you're not even looking at my argument. Quit making up a load of rubbish please. I'm saying It's hypocritical to say Jacen is a common name when Leia Han aren't exactly names with diversity similar to FIRE-KING-LORD-OF-THE-UNDERWORLDS. Luke is a familiar name, and Leia and Han feel like familiar names even though you never see people with those names. Similar to the fact that Ben is a very familiar name, while Jacen and jaina also feel familiar even though you never see people with those names. Therefore, all those names pass the test. Those only problems arise is if you be nitpicky about it. What are we, 8 years old? As I say, Jacen is arguably much more familiar than the others because it's pronounced the same as Jason which is not an unusal name, but it doesn't matter because those names are supposed to be somewhat familiar but different. Jacen is somewhat familiar because it sounds like Jason, but different because it's spelt Jacen. Of course you don't see the spelling when you hear it of course, but it doesn't mean the difference isn't still there which is the whole point. I'll go back to my point, are we really going to be inane 8 year olds about a spelling of a name for christ sake? And I'll carry on, Jaina is familiar because it sounds like Jane, but it's also different because of the spelling and also for the fact it has an A on the end. Leia sounds familiar because it sounds like Laila and Leila, but without the L in there. Han is probably the most ambigious in spelling, yet it's familiar because it's short and unusual similar to names like Reid or Kai, and especially similar to Juan in the pronounciation, which is also a common name like Jason. It's simple really. I have not once met a Jacen, like I have not met a Han or a Leia or a Jaina. Yet the name is familar. So therefore, the name Jacen is doing it's job like the others. And as I said before "all this hypocritical arguing is bloody ridiculous." So please stop making up stuff about how I want everything to be the same as the EU or whatever. I never said I want things 'exactly as they are in the eu books'. I even flat-out said that "All I want from the EU is the names 'Jaina' and 'Jacen' for the twins, and Ben Skywalker for the main".. So please hush before I slam mine or your head through a wall :)

^^^^^- Lol that is a good point. When they announced the new films I didn't realise I'd be arguing over names to pass the time.

      Delete
    29. That's the thing, though... you keep insisting that "Jason" is just the same as "Han" or "Leia" or "Jaina", when none of those other names are commonly used at all. I've never once met anyone named Han, the only girl I've ever met who was named Leia was the daughter of a raging Star Wars fan, and the only "Jaina" I've ever heard of was one of the "Wonder Twins" on the old Saturday morning "Superfriends" cartoon.

Do those names sound vaguely like other more common names? Sure.

But we're not talking about a name that we can twist around a bit so that it sounds somewhat like a common name. We're talking about a name that sounds EXACTLY like a common name.

The slightly altered spelling barely helped in the books, and it won't register at all with an audience in a movie theatre. All they're going to hear over and over again is "Jason", just like all they heard over and over again in the PT was "Annie" (even though hardcore PT fans insisted that the spelling "Ani" somehow made it something else.)

The spelling isn't the issue. It's the fact that onscreen it will come across as one of the more common names in the United States.

Again, it's not hypocritical to point this out. (And I think we both at least agree that we desperately need some new rumors to kick around.)

      Delete
    30. Yes it is. I know Jacen sounds like Jason. I've said that about a million times. I know exactly what your argument is. Why don't you listen to mine? You're not looking past what I'm saying. You're just going over and over and over the pronunciation. At the end of the day, the name's Han, Leia, Jaina, and Jacen are not stereotypical names like bob, kevin, dylan, dave, Luke, or Ben. So therefore I am going to be positive and be cool with it. Simple. If you really are going to focus on the fact Jacen sounds Like Jason, well then fine. Great. Cool. I'll just leave you to deal with your cynicism because I obviously can't change your opinion lmao :|

      Delete
    31. And I know exactly what your argument is, which is that a slight spelling change makes it a completely different name.

It's like when a girl insists, "No, my name isn't Brandy and it's not Brandee... it's Brandii." Other than the fact that she can dot the i's with little hearts when she signs her name, there's absolutely no real difference there.

Again, in a movie what matters is how the names sound, as nobody is going to be reading the names onscreen - especially in a Star Wars movie.

(Hey, a new rumors thread! We can bounce over there and chase each other's tails about something completely different!) ;^)

  22. Please, come on people. I've said this before. Don't speculate on the new films. They might follow the EU universe or they might not. We won't know what' going on until They are all released. One thing I will guarantee is that all the OT and PT and EU fans will more than likely feel disappointed with some aspect of the film (films). Take the time to read these rumors and make of them as you will, but one thing that I know is that there are 3 types of film fans. You have the "That was brilliant" fan. The "It was ok but I would have done...." fan. And the classic, die hard fan "That was not what I expected at all!!! Kill the Heretic!!! Stop the speculation. "Patience we all must have" as Yoda would say if he had these words to say.

"Don't speculate on the new films."..? What, are you serious? I'm going to be speculating like hell. This is a site dedicated to news on ep7. How can you NOT speculate?

    2. Speculation leads to hate. Hate leads to anger. Anger leads to suffering.

    3. Suffering leads to the Darkside. The Darkside leads to Power. Power leads to killing the people who disagree. So you could argue speculating's a good thing. If you happen to be a Sith...

    4. I say don't speculate because most of the speculation is utter bullshit. Chill out and wait for the movies to be released.

    5. Who cares if it is bullshit or not? I don't speculate to literally find out what's actually happening. I don't want to know what's actually happening. But speculating and wondering and anticipating is some of the fun of waiting for it..

  25. 6 months for filming? If (as reported) the Big 3 have a big involvement in Ep7, but less involvement in the other 2 movies, it's possible that Abrams could be filming all 3 movies back-to-back. Which means the scripts for all 3 movies have been finalised.

    Just a thought.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I can't quite work out why Carrie would be in London for 6 months. That's half a year she's away from home just to film what's presumably a few scenes. A film is usually done filming in 5 months, and that's the whole filming. So unless the film is 3 hours long and has Carrie in every single scene, I have no idea how she could possibly be need for 6 months. Or maybe she's flying back and forth a couple times inbetween that period or something. Also, she's said before that it's nearly impossible to loose weight and keep it off with all her medication she's on for her bipolar. So that's a lot of demand for the next 8 years for all three films.. So it's certainly possible that she will be doing all 3 films worth of her scenes in the 6 months. But then this begs the question, are all 3 scripts done? Or is it just her scenes? Wouldn't she have also told this to Jim when she told her about the 6 months in the first place? Maybe Jim meant to say that it was 6 weeks instead of 6 months. My brain is collapsing.
